"Slow system or insufficient permissions" error with Rage Hook Plugin

Featured Replies

Hello everyone !

I am very new to LSPDFR and also on the forum. I would have liked my first post to be something else than asking for help but it is what it is...

So I installed the mod just yesterday, I was very satisfied and everything was working fine until this morning. I got to play 1 hour, closed the game and then decided to install a modded car (which I know is working fine as I had already played with it in the past). This is where the problems begin... first of all Open IV didn't let me access the game files, because it didn't have the administrator rights (I'll leave a screenshot of the error).

After a few hours of searching I managed to have it working by starting it as administrator even though I know it is not recommended, but then when I wanted to load up the game, Rage Hook Plugin automatically closed GTA and showed me the following error : Could not hook game process. Insufficient permission of bad anti-virus. Which is very similar to the OpenIV error mentioned above.

The game works fine if I don't try to launch RHP.

I use the Rockstar Game Launcher to play, it is not a Steam or an Epic Games version.

Here's what I've tried so far :

- Disabling Windows Defender (the only anti-virus I have installed)

- Making an exception in Windows Defender for my GTA folder

- Uninstalling the game, getting started from a back-up folder I made yesterday and reinstalling RHP and LSPDFR

- Uninstalling and reinstalling rockstar game launcher
- In RHP, setting "Plugin timeout threshold" value to 60000, ticked DirectX11 and Forced Windowed Mode

- Rebooted my computer multiple times

- Checked game files integrity through the Rockstar Game Launcher

I find it very strange that it started happening between two playing sessions without me rebooting my computer or changing anything in the game folder.

I've spent the day searching through the internet on both forums and Youtube and found nothing that could solve my problem.

Here are the screenshots links for the errors I encountered :

The first one when trying to access GTA files with Open IV :

Thanks in advance to everyone who'll take the time to help me !
