Crash on startup with Rage

Featured Replies

Hello.

I just played LSPDFR yesterday and everything went "well". But when I tried to start it today, Rage opens the GTAV window, and 2 seconds after (during gunfight intro), the game juste freeze and then crash and close. I have no mods installed, and the only Rage.log I have is the one of yesterday, so no log when starting. I tried to reinstall Rage, nothing, I also tried to delete some plugins (callouts), nothing, and I have no mods nor mod folder (except plugin callouts).

Rage told me there is a "Slow system or insufficient permissions or bad anti-virus". I tried to deactivate my antivirus, did not change anything. It seems that it "Could not hook game process". What can I do ?

Edit : My game runs on Rockstar Launcher, and it works when I start GTA5 without rage

Don't do that, make an exception.

Then attach a screenshot once you've done that.

And incase you haven't restart your computer.

No I didn't, I do not have enough place on my hard drive to make a copy of all the files 😕

I try to delete and reinstall one time to test (could take a long time)

Okey I made a complete reinstall on a new place, put in the folder only lspdfr 0.49 and Rage 1.86.1288 with the 60000 ms time, but when I start rage, it just load, but never the game start. And when I try to start GTAV then Rage, the same crash happen. I turned off GeForce, same problem. I can't understand, my steam is off, my epic games launcher is off, I made a windows defender exclusion on the GTAV folder but it send me the same message as "insuficient permission or bad antivirus" even if I lauch it as administrator. Really I can't understand what the problem is.

Edit : I do not have reinstalled OpenIV, only lspdfr and rage

Here a screen from when it just crash (on startup) :

What I'll need you to do is change your permissions.

This can be followed in the corresponding section here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Hp2Qco0qsgKfohkhjYWUxTr2OF7NSCkp8uSZwWz6rRQ/edit#heading=h.mg0mifebjf6
