November 10, 201213 yr How I used to tackle this was a manual uninstall then clean every trace of the program giving me issues from the registry. I would wait until someone else comes in with a second opinion and much more know-how than me before even considering that, though. I haven't had a reason to mess with the registry since XP. November 10, 201213 yr Author when you mean a manual uninstall do u meen delete all the folders and files in the game folder the game runs from?
November 10, 201213 yr Yes. Run your uninstall wizard then clear everything left (config files, saves, etc.) and see if that helps. Hopefully someone will come through here a more direct solution. You're not trying to load a save game that existed prior to your uninstallation, are you? It may be corrupt. Ignore what I said about tooling around in the registry until someone can confirm it. I can't find anything on the internet supporting that for Vista/7. Edited November 10, 201213 yr by aggressor27
