i was able to play the game just fine yesterday then in the evening it kept crashing when loading my saved game and my anti virus detected something....suspicious registry value...im kinda stuck on what to do and figured i would ask on here before i go and erase the hard drive any suggestions would be appreciated

I just started having the same problem and haven't had any luck fixing it yet.... i've tried new xliveless, dsound, sripthook, nothing seems to be working.

did you delete your save game...it might be corrupt i transfered my save game to a dvd and when i tried to put it back in my game it crashed so it might be your save game is corrupt

Yeah I tried deleting my saved game and starting over, still having sporatic issues.... I am going to work on it tonight and see what I come up with. Im going to try reinstalling ELS and also starting over with vehicles. Is it possible that a corrupt vehicle (like one of the police, police2, fbi, noose,stockade, polpatriot custom units) can crash the game?

I got it figured out, it was a lot easier than I thought. Like you mentioned it was a corrupt game save. DO NOT save your game while the LCPDFR script is running. This is what is causing the "crash" (won't load past black screen). I went back and erased my save game, and it loaded first try. I wish I would have tried that before reinstalling all my loaders, patches, etc...

good find ill try to remember that next time and also to save your game onto a dvd disk drive and have it read as usb port so you can back up stuff i wasnt so fortunate i erased the hard drive and started all over
