RagePluginHook stuck "Launching game via Steam..."

Featured Replies

When I launch RagePluginHook it progresses all the way to "Launching game via Steam..."

After that, Rockstar Games Launcher opens, followed by GTA V, but it's just the vanilla version of the game.

If I Alt+Tab out of the game, RagePluginHook appears to be stuck on "Launching game via Steam...". If I press the exit button, I get the error message "Unable to launch game, please verify your game data".

I have tried verifying my game data twice through Steam but this hasn't fixed it.

I have also tried opening the game first and then launching RAGE, but then it says "Error: Grand Theft Auto V is already running"

Any suggestions on what my next steps should be to fix this?

Try restarting your pc

Thanks, and sorry for my late response.

I had tried restarting my PC multiple times, but that didn't solve it. I have decided to try reinstalling everything – including the game – and see if that works. Should know by tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
