Replacing Vanilla Police Vehicles with Pack Vehicles

Featured Replies

Thanks to Charile686 I was able to completely fix my issues with the infinitely loading screen my only question now that I need help with for now is I have been using addon police vehicles for my vehicle but the lightbar is missing on the vanilla LSPD Crown Victoria and honestly I grew bore of the vanilla vehicles in general. I found a new pack that might work but I don't know how to have these vehicles replace the vanilla ones... Can anybody help me?

Hey! So replacing cars is fairly simple and will only take a few steps. So first your going to need a program called "Open IV" You can find this on https://openiv.com/
So now that you have open iv you are now going to need to make a mods folder if you do not already have one. To do this go to your grand theft auto main folder where it is installed to. Create a new folder and call it "Mods" After it was made copy your X64 and update folder into your new mods folder(May take a few minutes) After open your open iv go to "Mods, Update, X64, DLC Packs, patchday20, dlc.rpf, x64, levels, gta5, vehicles.rpf" In there your going to drag the car files so that would be the files included with the car. That should be it load up your game and spawn the car you replaced and it should be the car you downloaded. If you need more information watch this video on how to install cars.

Just changing what you said slightly,

You should use Patchday24 -> it is a guarenteed place for vehicles to work as it is the latest Patchday 🙂

Edit: Stupid me - I remembered this is what we solved on Discord 🤦‍♂️

You edit the XML files for LSPDFR and UB if applicable so that other models do not spawn.

I advise that if you need help with this you make your own thread 🙂
