hello,

 

As the title sas im new to modding gta and i cant get it to work so i would like to see if someone can help me.

 

So first of all i downloaded lspdfr rageplugin and scripthook.

Second i would like to use the GTAV mod manager this→ https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/gtav-mod-manager

 

And i guess thats where it doesnt work. I would like to work with the mod manager because i dont have to worry that when i go online i might forget to remove a file from the root folder.

 

So i did some research about if i could use the mod manager with this and i didnt find much but i did find 1 post where someone said it was possible. Therefor i hope someone can help me out.

 

And if its not possible how can i make sure that i dont forget to remove a file if i want to go online? Like can i make a mods map where everything related to gta mods is in so if i remove that map im safe to go online?

Hiya,

I'd advise against using that mod manager. It is old and could cause issues.

To play online you'll want to copy a vanilla directory and rename the folder to "Grand Theft Auto V" when you want to use it.

Note: 2 directories cannot be called the same thing so you'll need to rename your modded one to something else when you aren't using it

okay and how do i do that?

is it like copying the map with all gta files (x64rpf and GTAV.exe) and then past it and rename that 1 to modded. if i launch it then it starts up the default 1 and if i rename the default one to grad theft auto online and the modded to grand theft auto it launches the modded?

So what you'll want to do is make your directory vanilla. Then save a copy of this GTAV folder and call it something like "Vanilla GTAV"

Then now that you have a secondary directory you can mod your second one. 

 

So now in Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ you should have 2 GTAV folders. One called "Grand Theft Auto V" and the other "Vanilla GTAV"

 

Now, the game will always launch the directory called "Grand Theft Auto V"

So when you want to play with a directory (modded or vanilla) call it that. But the other folder must have a different name

okay i got it i guess. so i made a folder inside the gta called mods and copied in update and x64e.xrf can i just place lsdpfr in that map or?

Place LSPDFR in that map?

LSPDFR isn't installed in a mods folder -> that is for custom vehicles etc.

hi all, im new to using mods. 
i have downloaded quite a few mods but all dont work, im an amateur at all this and find it hard to understand.

lcpdfr works but doesnt use the mod vehicles i have downloaded
