Cannot hear ELS clicks when using obs or shadowplay software

Hi, so I’ve been using obs to record game audio, I hear game audio fine but when I activate my els and lights, I hear the els clicks through my headset but when I play back the audio, it is silent and I cannot hear the clicks. 
 

Does anyone know why this is occurring? I’ve never had this issue before.
