Agencys arrest audio

Hey, i got a question, i just started playing lspdfr.

The Question:

Why does every agency say lspd if i arrest someone, for example im on duty as a fib agent and if i wanna arrest someone they say lspd hands up. So why does he say lspd and not fib, if i call fib backup they are actually saying fib hands up. 🤔

Exactly my point! I was looking around for the same thing for some days now, but in vain. So, started digging up the audio files in game.

The issue is that the LSPDFR plugin seemingly uses the s_m_m_cop_white_01 audio files as default for the player to use, which is basically one of the LSPD Cops.

This is regardless of the player's agency.

Also they have valid reasons to do that, as the FIB doesn't use megaphones in chases, so there are no megaphone audio like "Driver, this is the LSPD! Pull over now!" and stuff like that. So I doubt whether such an audio option based on agency would ever be available until the game provides the full audio for FIB.

Currently the only workaround I am using (I am no expert 😜) is by extracting some of the audios from one of the FIB models and then replace them in this audio container.

Like, the arrest audio (since it's also available in FIB) becomes "FIB, freeze!" or "FIB, hands up!" instead of "LSPD, hands up now!". by replacing the audio for that particular action in s_m_m_cop_white_01

The drawback? - Well, the other (LSPD) cops also use "FIB, hands up!" when taking down a suspect!

You will get all the audio files in "GTAV\x64\audio\sfx\"

Specifically, the police files (that are to be replaced) are found in the S_FULL_SER.rpf package in the above location. -> s_m_y_cop_01_white_full_01.awc

And the FIB tracks are found in S_MINI_SER.rpf in the same location. -> s_m_m_fiboffice_01_white_mini_01.awc

Also, if you want, you can create (or download) small audio files of the appropriate type and rename them according to the file names inside the package. I didn't find any FBI (or FIB) audio online, but if you do, please let me know. 🙂

Hopefully you're using OpenIV (if you're not, please do!)

You'll need to extract the above packages as folders so that you get access to the sound files and edit them.

After editing (or replacing), the folders are to be uploaded back to the respective locations.

You have to replace the original sfx files themselves (the ones you modified)

Copy the x64 in your mods folder. Then replace the changed files in the path "mods\GTAV\x64\audio\sfx\"
