So I verify gta and I don't get the fatal error unrecoverable fault any longer. So once I joined in the game lspdfr was not working so I reinstalled lspdfr and tried loading the game again. But while it was starting up it gave me that fatal error and I feel like I've tried everything but it still does not work. And I've tried renaming the mods folder and it works fine. Its something in my mods folder but I can't figure out what it is. I think it has something to do with the update.rpf but i just don't know what is causing the error, Could somebody please help me fix this, I really want to play gta and this error just won't go away.

Okay this is what I would suggest. Make a backup of your current mod folder and create a new mod folder. Then slowly transfer folder by folder (within the mods folder) each thing such as x64e and then eventually when one folder moves it will stop the game from being able to load so the problem will be in there.

If you could remember what you changed in there that would be great but otherwise without a backup this is what you will have to do.

 

I should add that you didn't just copy your mod folder from the old GTA version to the new version did you as this would not work and would cause it to crash. OPENIV would warn you that you would have to create a new mod folder which you then have to transfer the mods too.
