Configuring Vehicle Reponses

Featured Replies

Hello everyone! So I have a question to anyone that can help but I want to know if it is possible to customize a vehicle for a specific agency. For example last night I was on scene of a vehicle fire and when I called for Fire Services, all the firefighters showed up in one of my Sheriff vehicles and not a fire truck! I also have the Arizona DPS car dlc pack installed and would like to make it possible for them to respond as "State" backup instead of the motorcycle units. Any help? Would much appreciate it! Thanks!

Hey man!

I am fairly new to this whole helping people out on here thing, but let’s give it a shot!

When you open up your GTA V directory, go to the LSPDFR folder, and find the file called “agency.xml”. Once you find it, scroll until you find any of the fire department subsections and make sure where it says something like “<vehicle> firetruk <vehicle>”. Keep in mind that is NOT the specific code for it as I am not at my PC atm, but the important thing is the fire truck model name should be there.

If it isn’t, that’s your issue, if it is, let me know and I’ll go through some other possibilities with you.

Edit: Use OPENIV, not your directory. That’s my bad.

That is great feedback!

If you're using Ultimate Backup and you have a firetruck using a custom name like "firetruck_54" or something from a DLC (that was totally made up), then you can tell Ultimate Backup to use that custom firetruck instead of the default one. You just have to open the file in your Plugins > LSPDFR > Ultimate Backup > Default Regions and locate the line of firetruck code. Then you input the custom vehicle name and save. Likewise, you can do this with all your State vehices by searching for the state code (check the CustomRegions file as well).

It's possible your DLC pack has a vehicle using the Firetruck slot to get more vehicles in the game. If that is the case and you don't have a custom firetruck installed, you might need to download one.
