Brand new to LSPDFR. I see all kinds of videos of helicopter patrols, but not able to find out what I need to do to play it in the game? help....

first of all you have to take into account that not everything you see in the videos is implemented in lspdfr. Given the premise you have to press f4 and write "LoadPlugin LSPD First Response.dll" and head to a police station and go on Duty

I get that and can go on duty and answer calls in various patrol cars, etc....but seeing people can select pilot uniforms in the locker room menu and then a helicopter on the roof. Is that a separate mod?

Yes. Another premise is that when you go on Duty and you have a uniform, the second time you play lspdfr you have the same of the previosly one. To change police uniforms also you must go on setting - LSPDFR - change character and change your character

i see that other guy wasn't much of a help. you need to have EUP. Lw and Order installed. Then once you have that installed, when you go on duty, you can change your uniform, there will be a "pilot" option. choose that, then go to vehicle garage right under that, then choose the police maverick. let me know if this helped.
