Police 1 and 4 slots are showing the wrong textures

Featured Replies

I hope this is the right place to post this, my police 1 and 4 slots are showing a purple texture instead of the one I have downloaded, I have tired going into the NVR emissions file and deleting everything there ( pranger, sheriff, etc ) but the textures are still wrong. Is there anything else I can try to fix this, or has anyone else had this issue?

Try going into openiv and where you install them check all your files. I have had this happen when I install a car and then I check and the old car had police4+hi. If the cars you installed don’t have that then delete it and it should work.

Thank you, I will give that try.

Any luck?

I installed all of the files on the lastest patch day, as per the instructions, but none of the original police files were actually there. I have to find where the original files for the 1 and 4 police slots are.

Did it work in game in the latest patchday? I have always put my cars in the latest patchday and have never gone looking for the original files... Also which vehicle is it?

Yea all the cars showed up, but the police 1 and police 4, which are both being replaced with different crown vic versions, are the only ones I'm having any problems with

Assuming this is a NVR texture conflict follow the instructions below:

The way to fix this is to navigate to Mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/NVR_emissive. Once in there search police, fbi, sherrif and you may saftley delete the files, you will need OPEN IV for this which you most likely have. This way you may still have NVR installled.

Thank you for the suggestion, but I have already deleted all of the files in the NVR emissions folder prior to installing this car pack

So I was able to find the files for the police 1 spot, there were the same amount of files as in the car pack but the original files were named different so I tried renaming the car files with the original names, doing this made the texture show up partly. It was not purple anymore, but it still wasn't the full texture, so I tried changing the original file names to the new car pack names, this just made the textures go back to being purple. I also was not able to find the police 4 spot in any of the patchdays so I couldn't change any of those files. Do you have any other suggestions that I can try?

Can you link the cars you are trying to use. So I can look at them.

Yes of course, here's the link--

There's been a update to the file since I downloaded it but it doesn't look like that changed anything with the 1 or 4 slots

Okay I have used this pack... Which vehicles from it are you trying to install?

The other thing I can think of is to try and use a different pack and put vehicles into those slots and see if they work correctly... If they don't then you need to uninstall whatever graphics mod you are using then install the vehicles and see if it still happens... If it doesn't then you have located the problem.

Alright I'll see what I can do, thank you for all your help!
