cars spawning with odd textures

Featured Replies

This may require more information to pin down exactly what's going wrong here.

1. Is it happening with a specific pack of vehicles i.e. only c13's Olathe Pack?

2. Are the affected vehicles all replacing the vanilla vehicles (POLICE1, 2, etc.), add-on vehicles, or both?

3. Did this happen to vehicles that were working fine and looked normal after you did something with your game or did you add vehicles and they immediately spawned like this?

1. So it seems mostly in Olathe pack but I did have Steve’s 14 Tahoe with a odd windshield wiper texture.

2. I tired in vanilla and I made it an add on, I also tried Multiple vanilla slots.

3. The vehicles were off from the start I assumed it was a mess up on the file side so I talked to c13 and it seems I’m the only one experiencing the problem, but no nothing was done they were like that from the start.

@zigzag109 I saw your comments on c13's pack as well and since no one else seems to have commented any issues I'm inclined to also say it has to be something on your end maybe a previous visuals modification or something.

I would recommend trying these two things first:

1. Open up the models in OpenIV that are having issues in game and see if there are any similar issues (I doubt there will be but that will rule out any direct modeling issues with game files)

2. Rename your "mods" folder to "mods temp" or something similar so the game does not load any other modifications you've made. Start the game up to make sure that it's not loading any modded vehicles etc. that were in there. If the game loaded correctly without any modifications then create a new "mods" folder and place only a single vehicle that was having issues before into the correct place in mods, replacement vehicle will be easiest. Open the game and check that the model works, if I am correct it should load and look fine now.

Finally if #2 went well and the model now looks correct, slowly start rebuilding your "mods" by adding back files a few at a time and loading up the game every few additions until either everything is back and looks normal or you encounter the issue again. This will help you figure out what modification might be the source of the problem. (Hopefully)

If you do the above and vehicles still are not loading textures correctly in the same way then you may have accidentally modified the base files of the game at some point and will have to do an integrity check on the game to revert the game back to defaults.

I appreciate it I’ve already done number 1 as soon as I had the issues I even went through both ytds to see if the install had done something had been done. I’ll try number 2 when I’m back to my computer, I appreciate your help.
