Beach Patrol, Search & Rescue, and Desert Patrol vehicle type

Featured Replies

Just curious about whether your local agency vehicles for Beach Patrol/Lifeguard, SAR, and those that drive in the desert are 4X2, 4X4, AWD, or All terrain vehicles. I'd love to see pictures of them too. I own a 2012 Tacoma PreRunner V6 TRD Sport with a double cab (crew cab?) and long bed (6ft 1in or so) and am thinking of fitting it out for SAR (I live in FL, lotsa sandy beaches). I am just wondering if it would do much good or if i should do a 4X4 swap (it is 4X2, but same specs as 4X4 cept the locking differentials and such). Also i like seeing emergency vehicles for inspiration (I do basic liveries in Second Life and GTA).
