  1. First of all, is there anything in a folder called rockstar games/grand theft auto iv in your program files folder?

    Then;

We need to make sure that the same folder (in your case, /2k games/grand theft auto iv/) that includes gtaiv.exe, launchgtaiv.exe and all the other files and folders that gtaiv needs to run also has the following files inside:

    scripthook.dll

    scripthook (text document)

    scripthookdotnet.asi

    scripthookdotnet

  2. I have no idea why the directory would be what he listed unless it's a pirated copy and the r-tard who uploaded it though it was made by 2K games.

That's actually quite a good point because someone else has another thread with the same problem. It'd be strange that both people want to put all their games in their 2k directory.

  3. how do i take a screenshot

Open the windows that I've told you I'd like to see, press print screen on the top right of your keyboard, paste it into a program like microsoft paint, save it and then upload it with imgur.com then post a link to the image in your reply to this topic.

Unlr3al, am I wrong about what I believe is the problem?

  4. Yes, just duplicate the .net.dll and the config files and rename them (make sure they both have the same name).

I have not noticed any extra load on my system but you may want to reduce the frequency at which the script 'ticks' so that you don't have twice as many cars spawning as before or twice as many random emergency vehicles.

  5. I would uninstall GTA IV, then reinstall it in the following path: C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand theft auto IV

And saying that he's the first person to tell you what is wrong, It's hard to figure out what is wrong because there are so many different causes for the problems you were experiencing.

That is incorrect, He receives the prompts to head to a station which means part of the scripts are loading, which requires the scripthookdotnet and the asi loader. It's just when he gets to the station that we start to see problems.

"When i press alt + p nothing happens"

    Nah bro, I got this.

    FightingFire7024:

Okay you'll need to consolidate all of your files in the one spot if you expect it to work. Please provide a screenshot of the contents of your \2k games\grand theft auto iv\ folder and a screenshot of rockstar games\grand theft auto iv\ folder if it exists.

What I think is the problem:

I believe you have the scripthookdotNet asi loader installed but not into the same folder of your grand theft auto files.

We need to make sure that the same folder that includes gtaiv.exe, launchgtaiv.exe and all the other files and folders that gtaiv needs to run also has the following files inside:

    scripthook.dll

    scripthook (text document)

    scripthookdotnet.asi

    scripthookdotnet

  6. Okay but just be aware we have tried, this is a problem on your end and not a problem with the mod.

To be more specific, your scripthookdotnet is not activating.

edit: why is your gtaiv installed in a 2k games directory? You've probably installed part of the necessary files in a non-existant rockstar gamesgrand theft auto iv folder rather than your very peculiar 2k games folder.

  7. Well here is the difference for you to know

F11 Key: Air support for when you are in a vehicle chasing a suspect

F12 Key: Call Police Back up when you are in the vehicle chasing a suspect

ALT + B: Is to call for back up when you aren't in a car (For Example you are in a gun fight and you need back up you use these two keys)

ALT + N: Is to call for Noose back up when you aren't in a car (For Example you are under Heavy Fire and you need Noose back up, you would use these two keys)

I know this but as far as I've seen, both send a car containing the right personnel and both will get out if there are suspects on foot.

  8. The problem is with ELS, not specifically related to LCPDFR.

Try downloading version 5 of ELS as opposed to version 6, it is apparently more stable.

FyI: ELS is the Emergency Lighting System mod for custom modded cars with extra lighting/siren systems that are more advanced than what the default emergency vehicles have. It is installed as 2 files in your root gtaiv folder, ELS.asi and the ELS configuration file.

    Now that that's over with,

When you press alt-P you should see the icons on the minimap appear for nearby police stations. If you head to these iconthere should be a red marker close to the main door of each police station. If these markers don't show up, there might have been a problem with your installation so please run the g17 debug tool and post your error log.

    Also read the stickies

  10. Not all the time but it's fairly common, especially if you press the NOOSE requests multiple times.

Do you happen to have any car mods installed over the slots that NOOSE use? (polpatriot, fbi and pstockade)

  11. Sorry man but you've really got to post less threads, especially not with questions you've asked before. Please, before you ask these kind of questions again make sure of the search tool to search the forums or even just google most of these questions.

  12. This is the only car -- http://gtapolicemods...p?do=file&id=33

Okay so do you see how the combined filesize of the .wft an .wtd files is about 8MB? That's where you end up getting the taxi glitch and needing traffic flow or traffic load mods. Additionally it's also ELS enabled so you have to have that.

If you find car mods that are much smaller such as this one the combined file size is only about 4mb

or this one: where the file size is only about 2.9MB you shouldn't experience the taxi bug.

Just so you know, the default file size for the original vehicles is usually less than 1MB so as close as you can get to those original file sizes, the less likely you'll experience the taxi bug.

If you really like the paintjob of that k9 one I could get you a version of the low-detail one with that paintjob.
