Will you be changing the rims?
No, those are the rims the OSP uses, the alloys. I have made updates to them since this photo was taken and implemented the correct setup. They are really hubcaps over top of the normal charger steel wheel so thats what I did. Photo below
Is there a reason why I should change the rims?
-
Thanks!
-
Plz don't release it now :(
Exactly, I hope someone doesn't map it and then release it. EVI released it that way for a reason...
-
I agree with Tim, the shapes are a little off. Especially the modules inside the individual heads and the heads themselves. As for the ELS, its hard to say, the SLR has such unique flash patterns and idk if you could recreate those with just ELS-H. you might have to go with LED and then do some clever mapping on the lightbar with the secondaries.
-
Looks fantastic man!
-
what is that lightbar? A Code 3/Tomar hybrid? Its like a Tomar Blade housing with x2100 modules and x2700 feet
-
Sort of, wheels are wrong and its a 2010...
-
nicely done dude by the way is there any explorers coming unlocked in a DEV version just wondering
haha, no there probably won't be any Explorers/Taurus's/Caprices publicly unlocked for a very long time (if ever). Those models are the new thing right now and people aren't exactly handing them out
-
where can I find the DL for this vehicle, or is it private/coming soon? Very nice however.
Its hopefully in its final stage of BETA testing - I had some crashing issues I had to work out with the car but I think its been resolved. Once I hear from some more of my testers that its good to go I'll be preparing the release file. It will be a exclusive for GTA Modding Chest
-
Thanks

the end corner modules need a better texture. Using a XT6 texture just doesn't look right IMO
-
Plus the glass isn't round on the ends like that. It should look like this '>

-
what lightbar is it suppose to be?Just saw the title, a Javelin. Looks like you've got some whelen mounting feet on there now? The javelins have used both the old and new style Code 3 mounting feet which you should be able to find somewhere or make fairly easily -
You must really have a thing for Voltex lighting huh? Do a lot of agencies around you use that brand?
-
IF only you could make a good CVPI with that lightbar... :Q___
I can, there is just so many thing I want to do with so little time to do them
-
can you post a link for the model
its my recent slicktop v1.3. Just click on my profile and click files on the left, its under there
-
oh... sorry, I missed all that I guess. lol
-
Player model?
-
oh my, you need to adjust the rambar to fit the Tahoe or remodel a new one. You can't just throw a cvpi pushbar on and call it a day, well you can but I wouldn't recommend it because it looks way out of place and no real life Tahoe pushbar looks like that. Plus its way to small
-
Appreciate it!
-
Thanks

P.s: Not only this, older Tahoe from Bugs' look like this too. Just try to compare these 2:
http://gtapolicemods.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1581 (Newest, smaller wheels, better body)
http://gtapolicemods.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=34 (Older, bigger wheels, muscular, a bit similar to yours)
Just watch the pics or spawn them in game to see the differences :)
But np on this, with time you'll make it better :D
I'll be swapping everything onto Bugs model, I have it now
-
Just a question, don't get me wrong, but the wheels are that big IRL? Because from photos I've seen they appear to be smaller:
Yeah I thought the same thing, I got the car that way and I was just sort of leaving that till the end when i could look into it and figure out the correct size. Its on my list
-
Thanks guys!
@Tim - alright I'll look at it. I had to make them small to fit the mirror, otherwise if you increase the scale much more they are to big for the mirror and stick out. Unless I would make some sort of mounting bracket to hide it.
@Perez - The 5 spoke chrome rims? Police Tahoes never came with those rims as far as I know. The rims you see in the photo are the proper police package ones.
@Jetski343 - The rims pictured have their own independent texture that is easy to change to silver or whatever color you wish. I'll include the silver option with the download. But if you guys are talking about these rims, http://gtapolicemods.com/downloads/upload_es4.jpg I don't think I'll be adding those to this version. If I do a slicktop or unmarked unit then I may use those to remove the police car look

your right, the majority use the steel wheels but there are still a good amount that use the alloys
