  1. This is way above and beyond and am in no way actually requesting this because I KNOW that it would be extremely complicated and in depth for it to happen... But I think it would be neat if you could take reports. You could somehow question subjects/witnesses and ask generic questions like those rpg games where you're interacting with a character and you get to choose a sentence, phrase, or question based on what is going on in the game. Again, that is EXTREMELY involved and nearly impossible for a mod alone to do that. However, I think it'd be neat if somehow (and I think this could possibly be easier) if you could type a quick, basic, and brief report through the in game police computer and it could either be linked directly to the site so others can see what actually is happening and how we interact with the citizens or it could be saved as a log in txt file on your computer somewhere. Let me reiterate that this is just a rough concept that I DO NOT expect to see. I just thought was a nifty idea and am nearly positive that it would be almost impossible. Quick note to Sam if he sees this: Out of curiosity though now that I've been thinking about it, exactly how in depth would that sort of thing be even it was to be done with the already known coding of GTA IV? I'm just curious because I'm not a coder or mod expert so I know nothing about what would be involved with that.
  2. The vehicles are 2 CVPI and police bike. Police police3&4. Computer is windows 7. 8 gigs ram. ASRock LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard Z77M HIS H777F1G2M Radeon HD 7770 1GB (128bit) GDDR5 2x Mini-Displayport HDMI DVI (HDCP) PCI Express X16 3.0 Intel Cpu Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4Ghz Fsb1066Mhz 8M Lga775 Tray the 4 vehicles we have put in as newveh.img with the files newhandling.dat and newvehicles.ide. Not sure if I missed over something. Our modder and tech specialist left the group and was the on who put it together a year ago. I had reinstall the game last week and I thought just dragging and dropping in would work. But the game doesn't see it and says invalid model when I attempt to spawn it.
  3. Okay so its worked before but now the game won't see the extra vehicles I have put in to game. My friend gave me the files to copy and paste in to my game and when I go to type in the command line in game, it says invalid model. Yes its spelled correctly yes the newveh.img is in PC/models/cdimages and yes the newhandling.dat and newveh.ide is in common/data. I have no idea why the game doesn't see it. Ideas?
  4. So why is it that in singleplayer that I can see the lights rotate fine but in mp i can't see them rotate unless if i turn my siren on? Ideas?
  5. Dear Community, The other day, I decided that I wanted ENB out because it was to source demanding. I started deleting enb files but then when I loaded the game, I took a few steps out of the apartment and my screen goes to black except for the radar. I couldn't reverse the process or reverse engineer the situation so I wiped everything clean and re-installed. So I started adding things little by little. First custom vehicles.img and els 8. Then peds. So far so good. Scripts. great. Google Radar. Great. Spotlight and images.txt and remaining scripts.... shit hits the fan. I pull them out and go back. Problem still persists. The only way to fix it and start over is to delete the pc and scripts folder and bring in a clean (vanilla) pc folder and start over. I really could use ideas on this. Thanks everyone in advance. 7. I wasn't asking for specifics. If I wanted to ask for a date I would've said "What day is it being released?" I asked if it's safe to say we can expect within a month or two aka soon.
  8. Not asking for a specific date or anything (I know you don't ask modders for dates) but is it safe to say we can see a new version in about a month? I feel like that's when it will be because V7 was released in the beginning of May a year ago. Just curious because I'm so excited!!!
  9. Sorry if this has already been posted but I don't have time to read through the forums to see if anyone else had this issue. If it's been posted then please link me. I am having an issue with running LCPDR configuration tool. I can launch the LCPDFR Diagnostics tool out of the LCPDFR folder but once I run it and it opens, I click on "Configure LCPD Firs Respone" but nothing happens, the options menu just disappears. No error messages or anything. Ideas? Thanks
  10. Ya I forgot to mention that. So like I mentioned, your best option is just a new card with the ability to do dual monitors.
  11. Doesn't work like that. You either have to run dedicated video or integrated. Can't do both. However, if your computer has room and power for it, you can get another graphics card the exact same as the one you have now and would need a jumper cable that links the two cards together. In a way, it kinda works like hard drives, you have the master and x amount of slaves. Same with the graphics cards... you set one as the primary and the other as the slave this way, they aren't fighting each other and the computer pretty much sees them as one unit. You HAVE to have that jumper cable though or else it won't work. I myself have never done this before because I have always had just one card capable of doing dual output. That would honestly be probably a smarter wiser investment in my opinion but everyone has different views. Haha Tom! I just finished typing my response and hit enter when you posted yours lol
  12. I need to speak with an admin please. I didn't know where else to put this. And since this is the hottest forum, I figured I try here.
  13. Agreed. The best way to find something unique to put up, is to watch what other people are doing. I watched a lot of peoples videos before deciding what to do. For instance, I have seen people do intro/outro music. I like that idea. I have also seen people bring outro music in before the video ends which is what I do and then when it ends, i bring the music all the way in for the outro/credits. You can use someones idea but tweak it be your own because if you don't then that's stealing and that's not professional. Here have a look at my vid so you see what I am talking about. (And I'm not advertising my channel or anything like that. This is an example.)
  14. Hey all. So I have had little to no issues with 1.0. The only problem that I will have once in a while is that after I've arrested a suspect, I cannot grab them and move them to my vehicle. It works for a little bit but then it won't work unless I reload scripts and go back on duty. Anyone have any ideas on what causes this or any suggestions on how to prevent it from happening? I figured this wasn't a problem that could be found in the LCPDFR log or anything like that but if the answer is in there then I will upload those to this thread. Thanks! Officer Van
  15. The thing is that any new software/program/code that is released will have bugs, glitches, and what not. My dad is a professional software developer. Every release he'e has had has had bugs and problems. View it like this, we are the clients to LCPDFR. We are their #1 asset in terms of testing. We play the game to the ends of the earth which in turn allows for bugs and crashes to be discovered which can then be fixed and improve on your experience. GTA V had quite a few problems actually when it was released. So don't worry. The development team will make sure everything is fixed.
