  1. This mod is alright, there's one more mod that i read about, but i'm having trouble finding it because i don't remember the name. I read about it on these forums, i'll find it and update the post.

You can also play LCPD:FR in Hardcore mode. Just an FYI though, if the person is wearing body armor, a lot of those rounds are going to be stopped dead in their tracks. Police body armor can stop the rounds of all of those weapons you mentioned with the exception of the M4A1 carbine and some sniper rifles (depending on the round). AK rounds are large, but don't have the penetration an M4A1 or M16 has. Military grade body armor can protect even better.

Soft body armor, like that of a police officer, is not going to stop rifle rounds or up-close shot gun rounds. Here's some more info: http://njlawman.com/Feature%20Pieces/Body%20Armor.htm

  2. Edit: Nevermind, i figured it all out! This topic can be closed

So i've decided to go with a 2009 Rim instead. I've been trying for a few hours now to get the wheel to work with the car, however i can't get it to import, being fairly new to modding.

I bought this model here: http://t3ds.com/422566

Is there a tutorial out there that could help me convert this for use with the car?

When i export i get this error:

    ZModeler is ready.

Object "rim.wft" was not found. Whole scene will be exported.

Missing shader configuration for shader "gta_vehicle_rim" in material "rim". Defaulting to "gta_default".

Using texture "cvpi_steelrim_dirt" which doesn't suit settings for shader "gta_default".

Missing shader configuration for shader "gta_vehicle_Material" in material "Default Material". Defaulting to "gta_default".

Using texture "vehicle_generic_smallspecmap" which doesn't suit settings for shader "gta_default".

I still get a wft file, however when i try to import the rim to the car, i get nothing, not even the dummy shows up.

Also, what is the difference between (wheelmesh_lf_l1) and (wheelmesh_lf)? i see the difference, but what does the l1 version do, and how do i create it?

Basically my original plan was to delete the rim off the old car, and import just the new rim, keeping the old tire.

    Thank you

    Hey guys,

Does anyone know where i can find 2003 CVPI rims? I'm wrapping up a Massachusetts State Police model, and none of the ones i've ever seen have the steel rims. I've done a bit of poking around the internet with no results, and you guys are my last resort to finding them!

Any help is greatly appreciated, Thank you!

  3. So i managed to find someone to help a little bit. However, he seemingly abandoned the project and hasn't contacted me in about a week.

here's what he had so far:

Could someone please make the gold brighter closer to what it is in the pictures above, and add "21" to the roof? If someone wouldn't also mind making the all black, stenciled version, i'd be extremely grateful.

    Thanks in advance!

  4. I love the siren, it's fantastic.I've been using the Mono version, haven't tried the dual version. (not really into the dual sirens)

It just needs a bit of tweaking, when the siren first starts it kind of stutters a hair, and the loop on one of the other modes is kind of wonky. i was playing around with fraps last night and i have a video of the mono version during a small car chase. I'll upload it to youtube when i get home and post the link here.

I'd love to see a fixed version, it's such a great siren!

    Edit:

It's just a pursuit that i used to test fraps where i was using the mono version of the siren.

  5. Hi,

I was hoping someone could do a crown vic texture for my home town's police department.

    Here are a few pictures:

    Also, here's the badge:

The decals on the black car are exactly the same. Both cars have numbers on the back of the roof matching their car numbers.

Here is the model i will be using for the car:

    Thanks in advance!

  6. I have a GTX 550TI with 2GB of GDDR5

It's a great card and works wonderfully for me. I've been playing GW2 at max graphics with 60fps.

My friend just got a Radeon HD 7850, slightly better, so also a great card.

the 550TI with 2GB GDDR5 is about 150-170$ depending on where you get it. I think best buy has it for 155.

  7. Hey everyone!

Basically, i have a fascination with the older police cars. I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a 1978 Chevrolet Caprice police car model for the mod out there, with ELS, or if someone would be willing to make it for me.

I've done a little searching, but i havn't come up with anything yet.

    here's a few reference pictures:
