Dippa at it again holding it down for Maryland. :D
  1. I'd love to help... currently entirely way to busy IRL to even think about code...
  2. Failing to tell dispatch you are 10-4(Ok) will result in them sending backup units, currently they just murder him... I'll update this in later additions to the code. I hear ya brother - and I am sorry for restricting people in the end I'll be adding more spawn points (to include the entire map) currently, however... I just dont have the time.
  3. I'll double tap to make sure hes been dismissed - might not be working correctly.
  4. I agree with this. I have a list of callouts that I want to make that are "frequent" but have the ability to go crazy (rarely, you guys know my style). I have a list of 13 callouts (that haven't really been done yet, some have been) and I can tell you that shoplifting is on the list, and pretty high up there. ;) Thanks for the positive feedback and if I do have questions, I'll contact you. I did end up picking the brain of a few actual law enforcement officers in terms of out comes for this call. I can't wait to find time to do more. For this callout, mostly its going to just get a bit of polish here and there (update the INI a bit more, so people can adjust the interval to check on you, polish and explain some buttons a bit more).
  5. ... The reason why I polish things before releasing them. Already kicking myself for NOT holding onto this until the INI is complete (which could be a few weeks since I literally DONT have free time) ... Enjoy it for what its worth, its a first release - and it even states RPH 37. I don't know whats changed from 38 to 37... so if you are using 38, thats on you and unsupported until I find the time to update it... if it needs it.
  6. You can contact the owner only when you've witnessed a BnE and want to inform the registered owner (if they have a number for them) just aids in removal of the car. Entirely optional, no points awarded.

This will be the first, and short hand release of Repeat Offender series - while I do plan to add more callouts to it, and polish the first one (possible vehicle breaking and entering), I decided since I'm low on time to let everyone have a go at it. It currently ONLY SPAWNS in the city area, more so in the Davis/Hood area in the southern side of the city. What to expect : Real police work. In short. You'll have to pay close attention to the suspect (if you find him) and go from there. Pressing F5 will GIVE YOU OPTIONS. Sometimes the subject of the call did nothing wrong. What can happen? I'll talk about a few out comes because there are literally over 200 different things... Subject runs on sight of police Subject is innocent and hasn't done anything wrong Subject attempts to attack player (sometimes a fatal attack, sometimes not) Subject attempts to drop drugs or stolen items without the player seeing (back track your footchases before calling 10-8!) THESE ITEMS ARE SMALL, YOU'RE THE POLICE, GET YOUR FLASH LIGHT OUT AND GO FIND IT! Heroin bags, illegal prescriptions, crack pipes, small stolen wallets, he will try to ditch things (SOMETIMES, NOT ALWAYS) Keep that in mind... collected evidence YIELDS POINTS! Sometimes you cannot take any legal action against the person if you didn't see anything. When you 10-8 from the call, you'll get a brief of how well you've done. You can arrest (detain the person) if you wish, however, if you decide not to charge them, releasing them will not count as a negative arrest. Callouts are entirely way to straight forward so far, lets change that. Future improve plans : Implement a proper points system with Albo (and storing / protecting points) Improve calling the registered owner mechanics / handling Add ability to request K9 if subject dropped items / might have dropped items while fleeing Improve brief screen on arrest (brain storming ideas still.) Whatever else the community says that makes practical / logical police work sense to add into the callout. I already have additional callouts PLANNED however.
  8. Your understanding is COMPLETELY wrong. I'll fix it. Don't take this a bad way, but unless you are using Police Radio .20 with RPH 26 and LSPDFR 0.2, then you are 100% incorrect. Police Radio only grabs, NEVER sets. So if its not "working right" with other mods that is not a Police Radio or a manipulation on my part - since I only grab the data.... ;)
  9. Small update on the progress guys... BEEN BUSY AS HELL! Honestly though its coming along nicely. Changes since the last video : Able to request suspect description from dispatch if you missed it. Once suspect placed into custody you'll tell dispatch (its automatic) and they will not conduct welfare checks any longer. DONT FORGET TO GO 10-8 ONCE DONE WITH THE CALL!! Partner will aid you in replying to dispatch if he is on scene and you are busy (he will auto-reply to dispatch) Suspect will drop drugs more often, and randomly (still some what rare) Suspect not always breaking into vehicles improved Suspect has additional out comes (He might attempt to assault you without a weapon for a few seconds, then flee, for example) Dismiss method of reporting person concludes better. Reporting person might just had the subject they called about (points awarded for a reporting person that has warrants, investigate) Better cleanup of most objects involved in the callout Basic detection if the player is running code (which can spook the suspect) has been added, he might attempt to elude you before you get on scene if he hears you coming)
  10. Thanks for all the positive stuff guys. I got Albo on board also with adding detail to a high degree of callouts, while I didn't get to test his stuff, I know hes going to bring good stuff to the table also. We are both going to be working to make the points system a factor - both of us are rather busy lately however, so we often just... leave each other messages, but its going to be pretty kool because we can bounce ideas off of each other.. Doing little things like slowing time, adding sound, can really make the situation tense. I'm excited to see the YouTube videos of how you guys respond. I hope I can get it out soon. I know Albo is also pretty much ready to release his so we are going to aim for around the same time.
  11. Hey guys. Figured I would go ahead and share since its to late to turn back at this point. I've decided to make my first callout, its going to turn into a series of different callouts using what I call "Repeat Offenders" What is a repeat offender some may ask? Often its not uncommon for police to have more then one encounter with a person. They often have run ins and even get to know these people on a first name basis. With that said, this callout with be gear'd towards the city area. Davis area currently but I'll be expanding at some point. This callouts going to be realistic in nature, meaning it will take time to clear, and you'll have to use your head. The first callout in this callout series is going to be a BnE (Breaking and entering of a vehicle). There is going to be a points system at some point. Albo and myself have been talking, and will be making callouts that work in conjunction with one another. If you falsely arrest the subject you respond for because you didn't see them even commit a crime, you won't be walking away with any points. However, he might flee on foot, drop drugs, pull a firearm, knife, try to fight, break into vehicles, steal items from vehicles, drop stolen items, drop weapons, or just be passive in general - just to list a few. I wanted to make a callout thats in general, deep, and has a high level or replay. The subject you respond to will have all types of different actions, mindsets, and out comes. Sometimes hes not even breaking into vehicles. Sometimes (rarely) he'll surprise you. The goal here isn't to make 10 callouts in a pack that you simply show up and arrest someone, the goal is to make a single callout, with high replay value, and add new callouts on from there. Either way, we all love videos. Here are a few to check out. DOWNLOAD LINK
Added ToggleSnowballs command to enable/disable snowball pickup *Pees a little* 10 of 10
  12. Real life. I won't have to time to make a full mod like that. Best I can do until YouTube pays the bills and I can just hobby code all day is small mods / calls. ^.^
  13. Correct. I've become busy IRL so DCP1293 has taken up the task of updating and publishing PoliceRadio (with Albo of course also!)
  14. Thanks. Yea - most the time the issue comes down to just reading... some people however seem to be more of a visual learner, which I get entirely.
  15. So - you guys want to install cars? Lets take a look at 3 different car installs <HERE> Weapon sounds, Siren sounds, Mods, and Callouts <HERE>
  16. So I decided after seeing a lot of myths floating around to do a tutorial video this weekend. It talks about getting LSPDFR in, using the correct version of RagePluginHook, installing some vehicles, adding regular mods that supplement LSPDFR, callouts, and even some sound replacements. Mods and callouts - what the hell is the difference? Read below to get educated on terminology. LSPDFR - More then a mod (modification) in my eyes - its a entire game in itself, and is often not refereed to as a mod (even though, technically, it is.) RagePluginHook - The back bone that gets it teeths DEEP into GTA V and allows us to run LSPDFR (plug other mods, and callouts) A Mod - the term "Mod" is often meant something that enhances your LSPDFR experience, think Arrest Manager, Spike Strips, Spotlight, MoreControl V to name a few. in this neck-of-the-woods, the term mod often means these. Most of the time "Mods" go into the Plugin folder, from the main directory. Its important to note however, some mods (such as Police Radio) go into the Plugins/LSPDFR directory because it ties into LSPDFR - but you all knew that, because... you always read the readme. A Callout - a scripted series of events that works closely in conjunction with LSPDFR to give the player, as a police officer, additional calls to respond to. The callouts go into the Plugins/LSPDFR folder form the main directory, and LSPDFR starts, and calls upon them during normal play. CLICK HERE TO SEE HOW TO INSTALL LSPDFR AND RAGEPLUGINHOOK CORRECTLY.
  17. Common sense... either born with if or you're not! ^.^ Thanks for all the support guys in this busy time of my life.
