I'm assuming this would be toggleable. Because if it wasn't, it would kill the mod for me.

Sure, 100% optional. I'm aware that some people prefer to keep as it is. The suggestion is more for the people who want make things a little bit harder.

What would you want the penalty to be?

I'm not sure about the technical aspects and possibilities... but speaking ideas only... well, the simplest thing I can think of is the character losing the cop status (and maybe moving to off-duty clothing, losing access to the apartment and having only one pistol in the inventory) after one or two warnings (maybe customizable) via radio ~ in case of shooting unarmed/surrendered civilians or other cops ~ and then the Wanted System being triggered whenever another cop sees you... and once you're Busted or Wasted you lose the current character permanently.

This way you still can keep playing for fun and going on rampages as long as you can survive of course.

It seems like that I can go on a rampage while on duty, killing civilians and other cops and nothing happens. I can simply go on and keep answering callouts and play as normal. So, there's really no penalty for being a "bad cop"? No consequences? If that's the case... any plans to address that in the future?Â

Any penalty for being a Bad Cop?

The ideal would be a more complex system capable of making such distinctions in every situation... but like I said I'm not sure what's possible or not technically speaking, so I'm suggestion a more simplistic approach. Maybe this penalty system could be active only during free roaming and inactive during callouts? I don't know.

Anyway, I'm sharing these thoughts 'cause it's weird that the mod offers so much features and immersion when you're "playing correctly", at the point that you need to use the whole keyboard in a certain way to do that... while lacking the same depth when you decide to "go rogue". I mean, you're a cop that follows a lot of procedures to investigate and pursue criminals while at the same time being able to arrest and kill anyone, anywhere without consequences whatsoever?

Feels like half of the whole experience is missing.
