Hi,
I'm assuming you don't have any mods installed since this is probably your first time, so let's first delete everything in the GTA folder until you have this left.
then make sure your game files are all good and working, so open Steam, right-click Grand Theft Auto V and click 'Properties', then select 'Local Files' and then press 'Verify Integrity of Local Files'.
After the files have been verified, start up the normal GTA, so not via RagePluginHook and see if it works.
Now exit GTA and re-install LSPDFR, but download the 'Manual Installation' version.
Then drag all those files into the GTA folder and launch RagePluginHook.
I'm 99.9% sure you can now successfully play LSPDFR.
After that you'll probably go downloading mods, just make sure you don't add too much new mods into the 'mods' folder(if you have one), since for some reason if you throw them all in at once there will be crashes and corrupted files.

I merged it into Plain Sight, you can disable the other features if you want to.

Hi, I am (very likely) no longer creating plugins after October 1st, 2022 for at least 6 months, I'll only be updating my current plugins. The plugins below are the ones wanted to create, but I don't have time or motivation for these:
- Evidence Locker: go to the trunk and you'll have a prompt where you can type in evidence and add it into the trunk, then you're able to deliver it to a police station. (Relatively easy to create)
- Surrender Chance: A chance of the suspect surrendering when he's in a firefight.
- Updated fuel mod: I was asked many times to create this because the old one is outdated, buggy, and had performance issues. (According to server members)
- Animations menu: have a menu where you can quickly select an animation, add some animations to a 'favorites' list and also have the option to create hotkeys. (Please include the hotkey customization through the menu)
If you have some more suggestions for other developers, leave them below.
There is still 1 plugin incoming which I've been working on with someone else, so there is still one new plugin coming.

This post is ridiculous, the LSPDFR mods still have actual real life things and jobs to do.
Once you actually get a 9 to 5 job you'll get to judge.
Sam has not even visited the site since December of 2021. No news, no updates.....You're naming one out of three developers, it's not like they are going to spend the rest of their lives working on this, their first GTA mod was almost ten years ago, imagine how tiring it can get.
As far as I know there are currently 3 developers, as you said, one has been inactive for a while, so you think that there are currently 2 active developers working on LSPDFR and RDRFR. (Just because one hasn't visited in a while it doesn't mean they stopped developing, but it is likely.)
Your post does not make sense.

There are not enough details, in what function is this code/where are you using it exactly?
I'm pretty sure the code is only running once but I can't tell until I see the code around it.

When a developer has enabled "Disable comments and full reviews" on their download page, people are still able to select "Did you find this review helpful?", which leads to most people selecting "No" on that question.
This is obviously a minor problem, but it is still a problem and I have nothing else to do anyway besides reporting this.

Once you arrest or kill the suspect, the callout ends, but if the callout ending after the pursuit could be optional, this would open up many possibilities for developers.
If this is added the developers can add a dialogue in the end which would be a very realistic addition to a pursuit.
I personally could use this feature a lot for future callouts and I'm sure most developers would use this too.

Currently all of my or others plugins' comment section is always obscured by people who leave support questions even though in the pinned comment it's said that they shouldn't do that because it just clutters the comment section with all the quotes. Ofcourse I'd like to help those people but if other people look at the comment section to see what people think before they download they'd have to go through a lot of pages in order to find some useful information.Maybe add a prompt if they clicked on the "Leave a comment" button that contributors can customize the text that for example says: "Please do not ask for support in the comment section, send me a private message instead"
What sometimes happens is that there is an issue and there have to be a lot of questions to figure out what, why and where the issue occured which again, shows quotes that can take a fifth of the comment page.
I first thought it's a good idea for file owners to be able to remove comments, but that can be abused(e.g. someone stole a file and someone calls them out on it)

This could be useful for multiple small things for developers.
For example I'm facing an issue where the player's 'cop' walking style disturbs an animation by the hands going to the waist from the walking style, which is annoying but can be fixed by using GetPlayerWalkStyle and some code.

When you press Q when nearby a handcuffed ped, he kneels. There is no function to check if that ped is kneeled.
I recently came across a situation where I need to use this, I know it's a very small thing but I hope this gets added.

I think many people would like this:
Show the most recent comments and reviews first, it looks cleaner and makes more sense.
If you got a notification on a page, you just visit the page if you press it and you have to go to the latest page to find the comment.
There also is currently no sorting system for comments.

This way developers are able to update a possible feature list and file details. And when you added a bunch of new features, you have to remember them all.
If you can edit the file details on a new upload, you can take your time comparing your changelog with your file details.

I also use try and catch blocks
I don't see why exceptions where thrown, if someone knows why that would help alot.

Calling Persona.FromExistingPed will always generate a new Persona and will never search the internal LSPDFR cache for an existing one.
I've looked at the code and Persona.FromExistingPed is really not supposed to be called on the player ped, by the looks of the code, it could corrupt the player ped Persona. I will try and confirm this with LMS.

I'm trying to figure out how to get the player's name but I can't really find it anywhere, LSPDFR Uses it in logging but I'm not sure if it's available in the API, if someone knows how to get it that would be great.
Persona.FromExistingPed just generates a random name.
(With character I don't mean model name, I mean the actual name the user gave the character.)

hmm, I'm not 100% sure how to fix this, but I may have a few solutions.
Is it a custom car? if yes, does it happen to other custom vehicles?
in Grand Theft Auto V\lspdfr folder, edit lspdfr.ini and change Main.PreloadAllModels to false.
Lowering "Graphic details" and the reflection quality in the in-game settings might also help.
if that doesn't work I remember this mod from when I still had a low end PC.

I worked in law-enforcement for 22 years, retired of course and the town i worked for was was not a large city and the Jail cells was larger and we could hold about 150prisoners. for holding until they was transported to a more permanent holding facility..
3- maybe add a booking area, where when you transport the prisoners to the station you bring them to the booking department, fingerprint them, and take their photo.
And then log them into the Computer for booking.Our department was not too large, if you worked the day shift they was officers who would do all the booking, 9-5 type deal.
If you wokred the night or 3rd shift each officer when they made an arrest, that officer would do all the booking process then go back out on the street after, same as a DUI Arrest , most people are not aware of it but, when a police officer in my town made a DUI arrest it took 2 to 4 hours to do all the paper work, so that officer was off the streets on his/ her shift doing paper work until he / she was finished, like i said that could take any where from 2 to 4 hours just for the paper work alone..
4- maybe a way for an officer to direct traffic, not sure it is possible the peds are nuts to begin with in moving their cars they will run over people just to keep moving so lol.
5- maybe a way to control or temp make street lights all the lights turn red.I know we had a way to do that if we was in a high speed pursuit, we was able to turn all the traffic lights red with the press of a button on our console in the car, it would send a signal to the control box and turn all the lights red for about 30 seconds, i believe the fire department was able to do that as well..
any way the most improvement they could do is more call outs, and maybe ones with audio speaking PEDS instead of having to press the Y key every time....
Almost like a cut scene. any way as far as it is now it's pretty good.. it does crash from time to time but still it's pretty stable..
Some times it will last 5 min before all the plugins unload and you got to reload all the plugins again, some times it would run 1 or 2 hours with out that.How ever it just may be my fault and have too many plugins installed or something conflicting, not sure..

[Suggestion] Functions.SetPedKneelingTaskActive()

Useful if you don't want the ped to follow you and if you don't want to have the player manually kneel the ped while in your callout.
For example, I am having players arrest a ped in a callout, after the arrest I need the suspect to stay near an officer, otherwise, the ped will follow me while I take statements from the callers, which looks odd. Having the ped kneel via code is the required fix for that.
Parameters: (Ped ped, bool active)
