it crashes when I load it up ;( I uninstalled every plugin that was in and it still doesnt work

Works for me on a clean install so it's all the plugins that you have. I would recommend doing a cache verification on your files and start over

  2. Setup.exe worked fine for me on a clean install.

How do you force a callout to start? X is not working...

It's in the police radio now. You should read the documentation first!

Hey, How do you activate the mod inside the game? I installed it but the game starts normally

Read the documentation, it will tell you everything from how to get started to what to do!

    @Sam
I'm sure it's probably been mentioned, and don't know if you guys are already planning it... but could you look at adding a global interaction-type menu? (for modders to hook into)

What I mean by that is a single empty menu (thus single hotkey) that modders can hook their plugins into and create items and submenus inside that menu...

that way we don't need to remember 10 different hotkeys for all the different mods we have installed where half of them add their own menu for their mod with its own key.
Basically a central point of access for mod interaction.

You should definitely win today for this. Out of all the circa 2.5k posts on this thread this would definitely prove useful!

  4. Hi, I installed LCPDFR 0.31, interactions+, Albo cmmon, traffice policer and PoliceSearch. Whenever I get a call the game beeps like 3-4 times then the entire game just crashes.

I've attached my ragehook plugin log

As a workaround, I've turned myself as unavailable for duty

EDIT: Also crash when "reporting an illegally parked car"

EDIT: Also crash when requesting local transport unit within LCPDFR menu.

Just decided to uninstall the entire GTA folder and re-install and wait for 0.4

    Lol?

Don't think it once mentioned "pls stop you're rubbing us up the wrong way".

guys, please calm down all this hyping is really starting to rub the devs the wrong way find something better to do with your time like me I'm gonna go look for a playlist so I can watch all the resident evil games in chronological order.

Source please? Last thing id hate as a developer is someone mini modding and talking on my behalf so please post where the devs are getting annoyed?

I think it's a bit of a winwinlose situation. They are hyping up everyone on here for 0.4, earning money from their ad revenue along the way.

If 0.4 is indeed as good as they say it'll be, it's a big win for everyone, they earned money and we get satisfaction because of the hype that's been building up, will get fulfilled completely. If the hype is greater than the quality of 0.4, it's a loss for them, dissapointing people who might not feel like playing lspdfr all that much, thus visiting this site less, causing them to lose ad revenue.

I support their side if our assumption were to be correct.

Another option might be them working their asses off right now to put the finishing touches on 0.4 and knowing they'll certainly be done by the 28th, but it might be earlier on too

I've never once heard someone say "Oh man I'm glad it's coming out in the next few weeks instead of now so I can get pumped up for it."

Nobody is making you guys check the website repeatedly, that's on you. You could just as easily do other things and check back March 1st, I assure you that your life will not be ruined.

No, that's on the developers for being ambiguous with the release date for a game we want to play. Similar to every game I've ever been waiting for due to pre-mature release estimations or ambiguous release dates and a great example is:

    Mount and blade bannerlord.

They deserve the ad revenue for spending their time creating free shit

Of course and I'm not disputing that but if the intention was to delay as long as possible (assuming that's what they're doing) so people keep checking in to make money from ads, why not just put a price tag on the game?

And I know some people wont like that because they dont want to pay for it but if its wait vs pay, I'd pay all day long.

well i hate to break it down for you. this isn't steam, this is lcpdfr.com and this is how things happen around here. i have nothing against no precise release date and neither should you.

And where did I compare LCPDFR.com and steam? I didn't. I clearly said that in every game cycle of media hype there will always be an exact release date to manage peoples expectations. I mentioned steam because that is what most people will look to to try and prove me wrong so I eliminated that as an option.

You may have nothing against a precise release date but I do because it's clearly an attempt to get people to come back here every hour for ad revenue generation from the site advertisements.

Companies always announce release dates months in advance, why should they been any different? This practice isnt exclusive to video games.

The difference and you can look this up in every release:

step 1: game isn't finish yet

Step 2: release an approx release date
step 3: game is almost ready

Step 4: Release accurate release date

Pointless trying to prove my point wrong by looking on steam as their developer guidelines states they can follow the approximation but must announce a day for the game to unlock on  within 30 days of planned release.

Granted as most games are paid for, they do this so they are managing peoples expectations of things like:

    - Will I afford it at this date?

    - Do I have time on this date?

    - Can I move things around to play/pay for it?

Free games do this as well but remove the paid aspects.

  11. I agree with the above ^ was the ploy to keep people coming back here every hour for ad revenue generation?

It was fun at the start of Feb with everyone hyping but now it's just plain annoying and while I appreciate that you don't sell this and you've done it out of your own free time you cannot deny you have a fanbase that doesn't act any different just because it's free.
