  1. Hello Community,

I have just experienced a weird crash. Something I haven't seen in quite a while.

I stopped a prostitute and asked her to follow my character. Soon after, RPH crashed and left me with the information attached to the text file below. The crash description can, of course, be found by the end of the log:

    RagePluginHook.log

No idea what might have caused it given everything worked up until now. Both gtav.exe and RPH are up to date.

The only probable cause I can see is me trying to install these two mods. Perhaps they might cause a crash like this, hm?

Any tips and help greatly appreciated.

I don't know if Cyan's already fixed it or not (they [she?] probably did, since it's been eighteen hours), but it's functioning fine on my end at the moment.

It is. Glad it's working again.

However, the actions of my character are not being displayed in the activity feed for some reason. They are recorded to my profile though.

  3. Hey guys,

For the last few days I've been trying to find what exactly are the sysreqs to run RPH.

Unfortunately, the RPH home page is giving me a finger because, for reasons unknown, they have completely removed the information regarding the system requirements of their own product...

Could you please direct me to relevant resources, or list the "ingredients" for my reference?

  4. For the last few days I have been experiencing a rather strange RPH crash. Log attached (scroll to the bottom to see the crash message.)

As soon as the crash happens (which is usually when asking a driver for an ID) a ped falls down from the sky, right above my character's head...

I run the 1604 version of the game and it has not been altered in any way ever since the arena update. I just found a "sweetspot" configuration and stuck with it ever since.

I run the RPH version compatible with 1604 exe. GTA as such works perfectly and smoothly. As far as RPH goes, I have not been experiencing any crashes for more than six months. Suddenly, this happens...

I would appreciate if you guys could cast some light onto what might be going wrong. Any help or suggestions are highly appreciated. Thank you.

  5. As in the title...

I have been out on two patrols lately and none of the arrests, tickets or traffic stops I have performed/issued were updated in my character profile. The numbers just froze.

My LSPD:FR Sync does connect well - the actions performed in game are properly displayed on the activity feed. The stats, however, are not.

Please take a look into this issue. Thanks!

  6. Guys,

So I'm trying to run GTA first and only then, the Rage Plugin Hook.

While the game runs fine and RPH is hooked to it, I am crashing as soon as I open the console and hit enter after typing "load plugin" + "LSPDFR".

The RPH log does not even contain any error codes or error messages. 😕

I'm running GTA version 1.1604.0 and the Rage Plugin Hook compatible with that version.

While running the game by launching RPH first as you normally do, everything runs fine! However, I'd simply like to do it the other way round. Just for learning. Because, well... who knows?

  7. This comes back to me from time to time as well. I usually just go off-duty and drive to a place which I have chosen as my character's home, but it's just a geometry shell with no interior. 😉

Sure would be nice to have more houses and in many places too! Davis, Paleto Bay, maybe even Grapeseed. Otherwise you just change your clothes and take showers only to go someplace else in the end.

  8. If you keep having problems playing GTA you may try out my method to avoid updating your system. Thanks to this method, I am still playing the 1.1604.0 version...

If your game has already updated, you will need the backup files of gtav.exe and all likewise files that are directly responsible for launching your game. Once you have that, do the following:

    1. Replace updated files with your backup (only if your game has already updated).
      -----------------------
    2. Launch the game normally, with your Internet connection on.
    3. Once a download progress bar appears, hit "Cancel" button.
    4. Switch Internet off on your device.
    5. Re-run the game normally.
    6. When prompted about a failed server connection (something along these lines) hit "offline mode".
    7. You will now be able to play as usual for some time, until the next "activation required" message appears...
    8. ...and when it appears, repeat steps 2 - 6.

This method basically works on a premise that it is enough to simply make a "handshake" with R*'s server to be ticked as "activated" / "authenticated". You really don't have to download the entire update to be able to bypass online activation.

Make sure that you take these steps on a regular "story mode" run of your game. Only then, launch RPH and LSPDFR. Taking these steps with RPH run may be more difficult and cause a crash or some freezes.

Of course, I can't guarantee that these steps will work for you and that you will be able to play your favorite game. But I encourage you to try nonetheless as it has worked for me for almost a year now.

Good luck on your next patrol... 👮‍♂️

  9. When I discovered LSPDFR for the first time, I also stumbled upon the mod you can see in the title. Due to technical reasons, I hesitated a lot whether to download it or not.

But I did. And right after that, a Norton notification popped up, saying that it contains dangerous files. So I never installed it.

Later on, I read that LSRD was actually an elaborate scam by some thieving smart-ass.

So anyway, I'm just curious whether this is the complete story or if there's even more than meets the eye? Do you guys know anything else about this?
