by TA you mean Traffic bar?
U can assign patterns in the vcf.
I use my traffic bar thru all 3 stages. To do this, I changed mine to this:
<!-- SECL -->
<SECL LightingFormat="TRAF" DisableAtLstg3="false" >
<PresetPatterns>
<Lstg1 Enabled="TRUE" Pattern="033" />
<Lstg2 Enabled="TRUE" Pattern="033" />
<Lstg3 Enabled="TRUE" Pattern="033" />
</PresetPatterns>
<ForcedPatterns>
<MainHorn Enabled="false" Pattern="0" />
<SrnTone1 Enabled="false" Pattern="0" />
<SrnTone2 Enabled="false" Pattern="0" />
<SrnTone3 Enabled="false" Pattern="0" />
<SrnTone4 Enabled="false" Pattern="0" />
<PanicMde Enabled="false" Pattern="0" />
<OutOfVeh Enabled="false" Pattern="0" />
</ForcedPatterns>
<ScanPatternCustomPool Enabled="false" Sequential="true" >
<Pattern>0</Pattern>
<Pattern>0</Pattern>
<Pattern>0</Pattern>
</ScanPatternCustomPool>I changed SECL Lighting to TRAF and I wanted it to display in all stages so i turned that to false.
Then i used pattern 033 which is right to left traffic pattern in all 3 stages (obviously if u only wanted it in one stage, you can change each stage here)
This is only the bottom section of my vcf.
let me know if this helps any

So I started making my LSPD pack and I am just about finished.
I am skinning the helicopter and i have run into a problem.
The livery doesn't display the text. Well, it does, it just puts a huge black mark across them and the logo has a yellow square around it.
The logo has a transparent background I did in Photoshop.
The text is just standard text from Photoshop (i have done this 100 times before)
Just stumped and can't figure out why.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks

So I live in Florida and I want to try out LSPDFR, but before I start that, I want to get my vehicles sorted out so they seem authentic to Florida.. nothing wrong with that huh??? so I have the Crown Victoria, Impala, Tahoe, Charger. I have and like the Explorer but a skin or 'livery' hasn't been made for it yet, so I figured I'd try my hand at it....
Current progress:
This is where I am asking for help..from the other templated Florida Highway Patrol cars (mentioned above) the tan paint always seems to end just before the door pillar meets the hood, I just cant figure out where that is exactly.
In-Game:
Now I know its not right and I am trying my darndest at this but I dont know where the rest of the paint goes to get it to look authentic...
anyone want to help a noob out? FYI: I have never seen a FHP vehicle in person nor do I actually know how they look, I created this from following the ways of the other liveries from the FHP search on the downloads section... I did record this in game but the clips in rockstar editor show the original and its bugged (hey, I tried)
PS- if anyone knows the correct placement of the FHP, State Trooper and insignia, let me know too..Here are a few pics I found on FPIU for the FHP. I noticed in your last pic here the beige on the door doesn't meet evenly. STATE TROOPER needs to be bigger. Seal needs to be slightly bigger. *FHP needs to be a bit bigger

looks pretty nice. Are the strips reflective?

**SOLVED**
So, I started looking thru the visualsettings.dat and I noticed my 2 of my settings were really low. (Like really low)
car.defaultlight.day.emissive.on
car.defaultlight.night.emissive.onSo i adjusted these 2 settings to this
car.defaultlight.day.emissive.on 5000.00
car.defaultlight.night.emissive.on 2500.00and it worked wonders.
My lights are now brighter, but also back to the original colors of red and blue
The location of this file can be found in OPENIV
mods/update/update.rpf/common/data and you should see visualsettings.dat
drag it to your desktop, edit it with Notepad or Notepad+,
search for car.defaultlight.day.emissive.on and change it to 5000,
and change the one directly below it car.defaultlight.night.emissive.on to 2500
Hope this helps someone

depends on the vehicle but it needs to have the correct vehicle handling.
Albo1125 has a Modding DLC pack you can download that has the templated handling and carvation meta
Basically, you use the meta from the vanilla car and change it's handling to better handle the new vehicle.
Currently, I am using these:
13+ Charger - Buffalo2
FPIS - Police3
FPIU - Gresley
Tahoe - Baller
The Tahoe one I am still working with because it doesn't feel right. But so far, no turn overs.

So i had the same issue, i followed @HazyTube directions and I renamed the folder. I ran GTA and it worked. So i removed all the vehicles I had added and removed their meta. Now it works again

Hello Everyone,
So its been a while since ive used LSPDFR and am back into everything again. I installed ELS and followed the install directions exactly how they are stated and watched videos as well. I also installed an ELS vehicle pack and the vehicles works fine but no lights seem to work at all except K and L which only turn on my left or right blinker
lol Link to the Vehicle pack I installed is included here:
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I had this issue a few times., Check the vehicle handling meta and make sure diffuseTint looks like this <diffuseTint value="0x00FFFFFF" /> otherwise it will add a black screen or dark tint to your lightbars and lights and you can't see them.

lgaurd? where in the handling meta?
-
All the sudden lights are dim. and the reds look orange (washed out)
All settings are either very high or ultra
I have Natural Remastered and radiance V installed
Any ideas

@HazyTube I was having same issue of game crashing during load screen. I renamed Mod folder like you said and game loads fine now. So what now? Do i reinstall/copy a new Mods folder and delete old one?
-
Was working just fine then started getting crash on load
Besides uninstalling my mod folder and redoing it, what else?
Thanks
-
so i was wondering this as well. I am using Radiance and the taxi, bus and train signs are too bright. i uploaded my own custom signs for taxi but still the same. The other fixes for taxi signs just make a darker sign, which doesnt solve the issue just makes the signs harder to read. (I like to read the signs, it adds depth to the game)I did notice that when i got out of the taxi, after spawning in it, the lights go out, like headlights. so maybe a good fix would be to adjust that light for the sign or even upload a custom xml file for the taxi to lower the brightness of the taxi sign. I dont want to get rid of the signs as I have created my own ads. But same could be done for the train and buses.
Just a suggestion Any suggestions?

YEAH I WILL TRY THAT. THANKS

yeah i renamed them to police. and it's the FPIS which is the Taurus. but i couldn't find the ytd file for it. I edited the vehicle meta and carvations already. Just couldnt find the ytd file lol. thanks
-
So i download a vehicle pack to use in my upcoming skin pack. I wanted to use teh FPIS in the police slot, yet there isn't a police ytd file with this pack. I have never ran into this situation before and have no clue what to do. I already created a Livery for it and wanted to put it in game to fix any issues with it but i can't add the Livery because no ytd file. Any suggestions? Thanks

I just recently decided to start playing LSPDFR, and have really no idea how to install any of the mods properly. Using YouTube and some of the forums here I was able to drag myself through the installation and some minor troubleshooting to get the game to actually run, along with a few easy to install Plugins. But now I would like to install some cars with ELS and some different types of character skins, but dont understand how to use OpenIV at. I have watch numerous videos and still just cant seem to figure it out. If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it.

So, i am currently making skins for a Local sheriff dept to be used in GTA5. I wanted to go a step further and change out the sheriff signs and flags on the buildings to be more realistic.
I have the location of the textures for teh sheriff station in Sandy Shores (can't find the flag texture yet,anyone know where this is located?)
I have recreated the texture in Photoshop and imported to the correct location in OpenIV. This didn't change anything for me so i started looking some more. I opened the model file for the door and found it linking to another texture, a 256x256 texture not the 512x512 in the other file. So i exported all the textures for this model and opened the correct one into PS and added my textures to it and went to go save it to import it back in, but i dont know what the settings should be for a DDS file. I look at the 3d preview as I save it and it looks messed up. My text colors are combined and distorted, the badge has black behind it.
Has anyone edited these textures before or know which settings r needed for dds?
Thanks for the help

I lied...I got bored tonight and started tinkering with the Interceptor. Again, still trying to get the SHERIFF text to look a little closer.
Looks good so far. U need the red outline on the sheriff text to have a red outline. but so far looks good. I am from there also and was just gonna start on one. Wish we had the FPIU.. actually just found this.
