You need to modify your pedvariations so that only specific models spawn on peds.

Just a suggestion that's not actually anything to do with helping in GIMP as I don't use it, but post shots of the skin on the vehicle, hard to tell what we're actually looking at if it's just a png template.

There are two known causes for the shaking screen and cutting out engine.
1: You're using a cracked copy, if that is the case, please piss off and buy the game.
2: You're not running the game via LaunchGTAIV.exe, if that is the case, run it from LaunchGTAIV.exe

Ok well as nobody made any suggestions for the Landstalker I went ahead and added in the secondaries and WAG/TKD's.
Brief 5 minute video of the model and a call to anyone wanting to test the model (will be locked due to the model containing unlocked models from other community members) for me in their game and give me direct feedback, drop me a PM if you would like to test it, bear in mind as stated in the video I'm still working on getting it skinnable, it currently spawns with the Noose polpatriot colours as default (changable to solid colouring with the SNT).
Also credits even though it's not final release (but is available if people want to test and give feedback).

Whelen Avenger - EVI/ThinBlueLine
Whelen Inner Edge and Code 3 XT6 - BxBugs123
Quadraflare - SSanchez
I am also posting these updates in this thread as this is my attempt at creating a Flashpoint SRU style SUV (as stated, Landstalker model used due to lack of Suburban unlocked models), if people would prefer I do not post them in here, please say so and I will create my own thread instead.

You've likely reinstalled everything and copied files across, try doing a reinstall of your LCPDFR using the installer instead of from a backup.

Check everywhere in the model heirarchy, there MUST be a second/third copy of it for zmodeler to tell you that.
Check sub-sections in the hierarchy and check that no parts from the model (if a standard GTA model) exist with that name.
As for the ELS tutorial, it's called the pause button, I learnt from the GPM tutorial, pause and rewatch sections to see the things that are done.

Just download a free photo editing tool like Paint.net or GIMP etc.
MS Paint + GTAIV.. ugh..

Just what I've been working on, which Tom H tried to help me with. It's not the Suburban, as there's no unlocked Suburban's around. I'm pretty happy with it, despite it not being finished yet.
Feel free to comment on the car either here or on the video itself, or don't, your call.

Whenever you load a model into your zmodeler that doesn't have a texture existing, it will break your zmodeler materials editor, I've found that if I find the line in the materials editor for the specific texture, I can change that line to the existing one.
So for instance, load up the model etc, tells you there is a texture missing, jump into the materials editor and look for the material with the missing texture and assign the one you already have. Then just map it like you normally would.
Hope this isn't too confusing, I'm still learning myself so apologies. Someone else may be able to explain it better.

Personally all I do is import the new texture with a 1 or 2 at the end of the filename, then update the materials to use that texture. The downside of doing that however is having to import both textures into the wtd when you're ready for running it on the game.
Another way you can do it, is keep the old texture, import the model in and then modify your UV-Mapping so that the texture lines up correctly with the components of the new model.

Gday Tom,
The car you've sent has the exact issues as I was having with mine, the suspension glitches through the car when accelerating and braking (which I managed to fix on my car), however the same issue of initially crashing to desktop (which I also fixed by moving things around in the heirarchy - possibly the cause of my issue) exists on your landstalker/polpatriot.
Thanks for trying, think I'm going to have to give up, at least I know it wasn't just some freak problem on my export etc.
Aussie.
EDIT: Resolved issues, was a collision issue, particularly Zmodeler not exporting the files COL mesh settings correctly, now resolved and working as it should, thanks Tom H.

They need to be set up as an extra_* in the model inside zmodeler to enable any lights to flash when ELS is enabled.

I'm personally not going to hold my breath until it releases with mod-ability.

Emergency 5 is Emergency 2012 isn't it?
That site is all in german for me but I'm going to keep an eye on this stuff because 2012 wasn't mod-able, if they learnt from their mistakes and make this mod-able I'll grab it most likely, I'd love to see an updated LA mod or the like and there's no shortage of talent still in the Emergency community.

If you're running 1070 then the dsound option in LCPDFR 95RC2 should work fine, try running as admin etc. If it's not working and you have 1070 I have no idea what to tell you.
As stated the only alternative to dsound is the xliveless.

Much appreciated Tom, because I've tried doing that 4 times and have the same issue every time. Thanks again.

Does anyone have an unlocked Landstalker model that is editable in Zmodeler to use as a Polpatriot? I tried to import the default GTAIV Landstalker, rename it and import but when I export it and put it into my vehicles.img, in game it loads up but crashes when the windows take damage, if I modify the hierarchy I can get it to stop crashing but instead I get invisible collision geometry in-game. I noticed that Lt. Caine released a few Landstalker's for the Polpatriot slot but his is unfortunately a locked model so I figure I'd ask here as a lot of people have released other default GTAIV cars unlocked.

To be practical, you won't get it to run smoothly AND have good quality, it's simply not possible in GTAIV with those very sub-par specs.
Your best bet would be to turn down your resolution and in-game quality. 2GB of RAM is a severe limitation and I see you're running XP so upgrading the amount of RAM would likely have a neglible effect on the game running speed.
Your other option is getting Windows 7 and more RAM along with a better video card. Having 512MB of video memory in GTAIV is also going to severely limit your experience with the game, you'll need to make a trade-off. Performance or ok graphics.
I'm also speaking from experience because I used to play GTAIV on specs very similar to yours and found no matter what I did I couldn't get both good graphics and good performance.

Aussie.

Copy, stopping. This also isn't the place for it snippro12 but I'd suggest you have a look at the quadraflare pack, maybe you can import that, scale it, configure it and use two of those in the grill.

I'm all for opinions, but when it's pointless to say something negative when he isn't saying anything that can help, that's when I say something back.
You also didn't ask snippro12, you stated:
it is a really bad advisor :P and the textures are almost the same names as the ones of the car but other textures. So because you're being lazy and don't bother to learn to do it yourself or learn how to improve it, it's a bad advisor. Do better then comment about it being good or bad, please. In your signature you say any help is much appreciated but then you badmouth a free addon that was ONLY released for people to learn how it's made and use it in their mods.
Aussie.
On topic: Really great list of unlocked models, a few here I've experimented with and a few I'd not even heard about so much appreciated, keep up the good work.
-
Really bad advisor? Find one better or make one yourself, in the meantime keep your negative thoughts to yourself about a freely released unlocked model. I've used the lightbar in a few cars and with minor texture tweaking can look just as good or better than some others.
