  1. I never know what I should install next as the essential plugin?

Currently, I use the following method but not sure if it's the best....  concerned about the items highlighted in red.

    1. Steam GTAV (clean)
    2. LSPDFR 0.46
    3. Scripthook
    4. RagePluginHook
    5. Simple Trainer
    6. Vehicles
    7. ELS & Radiance
    8. Modding DLC
    9. Albo plugins? Traffic Policer, Arrest Manager, SmartRadio, Stop the Ped, Ultimate Backup?
    10. Real Gun Sounds?
    11. Make Visuals Great Again? or VisualIV
    12. EUP Uniforms?
    13. Callout addons?

And that's it. Is that the correct order? Are these plugins still supported with latest LSPDFR?

Do you use any Trainers Like Simple Trainer?

If you're being spawned inside of a helicopter, that's most likely a trainer. The .ini file will be inside of your GTA V main directory and you can remove or change the keybindings there.

As for your code 3 backup issue, a plugin such as Ultimate Backup would be handling that. Again, check your .ini inside of the LSPDFR\Plugins folder.

Yeah, I do use TrainerV and I have disabled the keybindings in the trainerV.ini file in addition to disabling it in menu while in the game. But the key presses still trigger the undesirable effect.

    Totally lost on me now...

  3. Noticed this mostly at night. What happens is that the scenery textures will randomly flash on and off. Sometimes buildings will disappear and reappear.

At one point, a highway overpass had disappeared and still had moving traffic on it. Kinda cool because for a few seconds, I saw flying cars.

What's causing this?  I'm using Make Visuals Great Again - but it was doing this before I installed this environmental addon.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have searched all over and have been through every .ini file and can't find any control mappings that indicate Y on the controller will cancel the traffic stop. Below are the exact keys.ini for lspdfr and no other settings are mapped to the Y button. I'm not sure what setting I have missed, but I can not find anything that fixes this issue.

    Thanks

Yeah, I noticed that too. I need to investigate further. But I have seen this a couple of times now

Kreemerz, don't say one thing, then backpeddle with "I'm not saying this is you."   We both know you're implying I'm jaded or burnt out. You have a history on this forum of not being able to post topics in the right section, despite being told multiple times and even getting a PM from me - and this plays into exactly my point.  People don't follow simple instructions.

I'm going to end this discussion with the following:  The support section has always had a few threads or a few instances where it took a few days for someone to get help, or to resolve their issue, and in most of those cases, the issue was very simple - simple enough that they could've figured it out themselves if they had taken the time.  Instead, they waited two-three days for an answer, that is two-three days they could've been playing and having fun.  I'm far from burnt out on helping people, but I am annoyed that some people refuse to try and help themselves.

No one is "backpeddling". I just didn't want you to take my comments personally. I was hoping to focus perhaps on the existence of people needing our help and providing that help (irrespective of whether anyone thinks they really need it or not.)

Not only do I have a hard time posting in the correct sections but I know others do too. We have tons of sections on here and sometimes it's hard to determine which section a question might belong in which is why I have asked for clarification. Read my comments on those posts which attest to that point. However I would not rather not use this thread to discuss this particularly issue. We can discuss this further in PM. I have some suggestions that may help.

...my days working in support, the very common thing I saw are the people who'd rather be handheld the entire time instead of following simple directions.

...the individual person is [the problem]

    Clearly understood.

I have worked in support for quite some time too. And I have heard this exact mantra from many other techs who have become a little jaded or burnt out with users over time. I try my darnedest not to become that way. Some I'm not saying that that's you but it is interesting that you're using the same exact line that I hear from them.

It's not an issue unique to LCPDFR.com but it is something that many popular forums face. And I suppose that it is something that we can't expect developers to take on by themselves. Not sure what the reasonable solution is at this point but it is worth bringing up.

    But no worries.

There's a difference between being patient with someone who is genuinely struggling and someone who, frankly, doesn't know how to read and help themselves.  I have seen one or two readmes which didn't clarify how to install something, but the mass majority of them have it written out, in plain English.  The problem comes down to the individual and either

    A) They don't read the readme.

    or

    B) They choose to be stupid and not understand what the readme tells them to do even though the language is very basic.

Saying the readmes are the issue, and blaming mod authors is an insult, especially when almost all of them say "drag and drop" and tell you where to drag and drop to.  Yes, there are some people who fill their readmes with lines of text, then put the install instructions at the bottom, but that makes no difference if you actually LOOK for the instructions.  You don't need to know any modding lingo, you should have common sense to understand what "drag and drop" means and being able to follow navigation instructions for installing.

Notice how your viewpoint about some of the users in this forum ("...who, frankly, doesn't know how to read and help themselves.") is very subjective and disingenuous.  These are personal attacks and not factual assessments. All you did was try to justify general unpleasantness rather than community friendliness or openness.  I think the latter is more conducive in a public forum.  I have a read quite a few readme text files and have seen some very well-organized and well-written instructions. I have also seen some that are not. Sorry, it's the teacher in me. I generally try to give the learner the benefit of the doubt since they're the ones asking for help. Kinda puts the one who is able to help in a powerful position where they should demonstrate a sense of humility.

I appreciate your wanting to help.
