  1. If you are getting huge dips even after leaving an area, try lowering the PersistenceRemoveRadius down to something like 92.0 or less. You'll have to reload the plugin to have the ini changes go into effect, so use the UnloadEntityPersistence command. Going to see what improvements I can make to the code when I'm not busy.

    Thanks for the feedback!

No worries! Glad to finally see a modification that allows me to roleplay more without a scene completely disappearing before my eyes.

  2. Hey was wondering, how can I make this so it changes all the siren tones of all the vehicles? I like it when all my police cars have the same tone.

I will eventually just have a couple of things on my plate atm. The reason I don't make two versions is because just getting the first primary sirens changed takes 4 hours of hard editing mixed with trial and error. But i'll try knocking it out by the end of this week.

  3. Well, a how to install would be nice and would've taken like 30 seconds to make..

This is one of the earliest siren mods for LSPDFR so you'd think they would be included. They sound great! But don't know where to put those files.

To install follow this simple tutorial from OpenIV: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymLrNTjGBXA

or Use OPENIV to open up the folder titled 64x then open Audio>SFX> Resident.rpf and place the OEC inside resident.rpf.

  4. HOLY COW DUDE YOU SCARED ME WITH THAT SHOUT ! oh and nice sirens btw :D

UPDATE: I just watched the video and that was a daaaamn great and intense pursuit !! I hope David gets well soon.

Not as intense as your Whelen Alpha but it's still quite decent. =)

    +1

    Thanks for the input guys!

Fyi: He's much better now thanks for asking. He did better than my previous patrol.

  5. alright so.... it's a bit weird because for me your file is corrupted.. :( i tried another siren for GTA 5 and it work so i don't know .. :( i'm kind of sad because i love your siren !

just disconnect your Internet then run GTA. Can't be the file because no one else has claimed it to be corrupted. Plus thereally is another user who had a similar issue which was resolved once they launched offline. :/ sorry about that.

P.S do you use a mods folder? With OpenIV?

  6. How to install? No readme! And the instructions on the OpenIV YT channel sucks, because it's blurry. I can't see anything. So, how to install?

Use OPENIV to open up the folder titled 64x then open Audio>SFX> Resident.rpf and place the OEC inside resident.rpf. Then launch and enjoy!

  7. Okay looks like everything works in offline mode, so the files are good, but when I try running regular GTA V it does the same thing.

Hmm so it's definitely  client side.. I'm not really a specialist on troubleshooting so I wouldn't know where to begin to help..

  8. You have to go into resident.rpf then move the OEC into the directory of Resident.rpf.

If that is what you're doing then will the game launch in offline mode?

Maybe try and reinstall original sound files try and launch and then try again with modded.

If still not successful I will attempt to reupload fresh files.

  9. Yes. I have no idea what is happening and why its going like that. I guess we will just have to change things.

No, it mutes the entire vehicle.awc file. I tried adding a 5 second wail tone track length replacing the 3 sec FIB wail siren, did not work. I tried adding a longer wail tone for ambulance wail, again 3 seconds, to a 6 seconds length track, to no avail. However i was able to successfully replace the ambulance yelp tone with a 0.50 sec longer track than vanilla length. Same for Siren_02. I was also successful at replacing the fire truck wail/yelp tones as it fitted under the vanilla length limit. But for the rest of the fleet, theres a governor on siren length time,

I think I found the fix for this! Will help you guys out after I get off of work tomorrow.
