  1. I know this is old, but the only parts of RDE that impact performance directly are the scripts it comes with, particularly arrest warrant, which made my mid-range gaming PC start lagging in police chases, can be removed without breaking things. The scripts do things like spawn certain cars in places and other non-essential features. There is an indirect performance impact from rendering a lot of vehicles of course, but providing you have a decent GPU it should have the video memory to handle this without running into issues. When I used to play on a laptop I always had problems using RDE vehicles because of a lack of VRAM in my system (integrated AMD graphics). So yeah tl;dr the scripts it installs are the main thing that affect performance. Delete them and you should be good.
  2. I did a log using CoreTemp and it showed all my cores running at 3299MHz for almost the entire session. My CPU can turbo to 3.6GHz but as I said when I play GTA there's rarely 100% CPU load so I think its working as it should on that front
  3. It's annoying because I never even get 100% CPU usage and yet it still lags and the FPS drops randomly. I understand the way GTA is designed all mods will have some performance impact but LSPDFR is really bad for this. (Possibly because it hasn't been updated in ages?) But I guess you're right it must be the CPU there's nothing else hardware wise that would limit it. And yeah ALPR in the city is really bad. Which is a shame because its the best place to use it. I've been kind of pushed towards trying out other mods which don't impact the game as much, like LSPD: Dangerous Individuals which is Scripthook based and runs decently. But you don't get the same immersion and the tools LSPDFR gives you.
  4. How do i do that? I don't know what my default settings were
  5. Maybe its because you have an i7 then. Like I say GTA runs great without RPH. Scripthook LSPD mods are really enjoyable.
  6. I doubt it. What game version and RPH version are you using? I turned down my settings completely and its still laggy in chases. Only other thing I have installed is Realism Dispatch Enhanced but I've used LSPDFR without that in the past and still had issues. It lags mostly in the city. In the countryside I normally get 60fps with microstutter but no FPS drops, which I can live with. But for some reason the city is just horrendous.
  7. I built a PC last autumn specifically for playing higher end games like GTA. GTA runs fine on it apart from a few frame pacing issues which I had to work around. However LSPDFR still lags with minimal plugins installed. I have Search Warrant, ALPR+, Traffic Policer, Police Radio, Code 3 Callouts and Assorted Callouts. I5 6500 EVGA GTX 970 Superclocked 8GB RAM (this never reaches 100%) 150GB SSD It's got to the point where I'm considering turning graphics options way down even though my PC can handle max settings at 60fps almost all the time. I just know LSPDFR is completely unoptimized and will run like shit on even the latest £2000 i7 build. Has anyone had success turning down textures etc to improve LSPDFR performance, or by using Directx 10?
  8. Hello, yes I do. I have eyes. without activating this mod the lag doesn't ensue.
  9. Doesn't seem to work anymore, has no noticeable effect on the brightness of lights
  10. This is causing lag, especially when I go off duty then on duty as another officer. FPS drops are caused by this mod.
  11. Guys my 2015 Charger's red strip tail light isn't coming on unless I'm braking. How do I make it stay on all the time like other charger models do? thanks
  12. Okay, my final question was whether the brand of GTX 970 makes a difference. I know they all have slightly different clock speeds from 1.08GHz to 1.18GHz the one I was looking at was the EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB Superclocked ACX 2.0 http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/JTwqqs/evga-video-card-04gp42974kr which is 1.17GHz
  13. Looks like the GTX 1060 will take me £50 over budget. There's not a huge difference between the 970 and the 1060 anyway is there? The R9 380 is also an option
  14. Alright, sounds good. I probably won't get a 6600k because from what I've heard the only advantage over the 6500/6600 is overclocking which I'm not interested in
