that sounds great! im a sophmore at the moment in highschool and i hope that when i go to college this happens too . sound like a great tool for classrooms!

If somebody else doesn't have it in place, make it happen man, lol. Most people don't realize this, but there's actually a ton of lessons that can be taught by GTA if you look at it through the correct lens, whether it's the base game or mods such as LSPDFR; I had one professor last year use the base game to show examples of criminal psychology and "see them in action", so to speak.

  2. Hey everyone. I'll do my best to keep this short; just a little something that made me happy that I wanted to share here.

I'm a member of the Criminal Justice Student Association on my campus, and yesterday I brought up the idea to our faculty advisor of doing an LSPDFR session one day, since a large amount of the students in the Association want to join the force after college. He was on board with the idea, with the one concern that the events in-game can take a little while and might limit participation. (Pursuits, traffic stops, etc.)

I just figured it was worth bringing up that I'm trying to get LSPDFR out there to be used as an educational tool. Hopefully this will attract more people into the forums, which leads to more downloads, and hopefully more donators to our amazing modders

    Cheers

Make sure the mods are not out of date, I don't think panic button has been updated in a while. What plugins have you got installed?

A lot. Probably upwards of 50. The only ones that I know are out of date are Darkmyre's GTA Comes Alive and his Police Partner plugin, but I can't find those anywhere I look; his page on here doesn't have them anymore. And I managed to fix the issue by just going to the police station and going on duty the old fashioned way. Everything works perfectly after that, so I don't know what was happening.

  4. So when I launch GTA with RPH, it keeps giving me some sort of "Unhandled Exception" message when I force duty. Unfortunately, I'd have a better shot at reading Greek than .log files. Also my ALPR+ plugin isn't working, nor are multiple other ones such as Cop Holster or the Panic Button mod. I can still get callouts and respond to them, however I can't call for backup and other important things like that won't work. I have no clue what could be the problem, I've updated everything that I can find; can anybody help me out please? I'd be very grateful.

  5. Does anybody know if there's a mod to have your voice distorted slightly so that it sounds like a police radio? I was watching a video where the multiplayer coop mod was being used and there seemed to be voice chatter between players that sounded distorted and quite realistic to a radio; if anybody could help me out, that would be awesome; thanks.

  6. I don't know if somebody's already asked about this, but I've noticed that while doing a traffic stop or what have you, as soon as you exit your car your siren automatically turns itself off. While it's convenient, it's also not very realistic; does anybody know of a mod that keeps the sirens on while you're out of your car, or if it's even possible, lol

Neither of these are an option currently - you should use Arrest Manager. :)

I'm taking an educated guess with that - I haven't actually had that problem myself, so it's hard to tell lol. If you close/disable any of the Realtek stuff from the system tray, does it help? Does it have any audio processing/filtering/EQ stuff in it? This error seems to happen when the audio system can't handle everything it's being asked to do.

I went and uninstalled Realtek and my mic was working fine, I set it up with Windows Speech Recognition and everything, no problems. I go in game and it still isn't responding to anything. Afterwards, I went to the troubleshooter for WSR and it told me my headset wasn't plugged in, so I'm really lost now lol

@cros1625 Upon doing further research, I discovered that audio processing stuff in Windows (i.e.the Realtek Audio Manager or effects in the Sound Devices interface) can also cause it. Do you have any of these?

@turbofandude I seem to be having the same problem as Cros, but I'm not sure what you mean by Realtek (which I have installed) causes the problem. How would I get around it? I've been dying to try this out for a while now, but couldn't get it to work on my own. Any advice or tips you could give me would be greatly appreciated! :)
