UPDATE: Finished the interior (basic filling)
The dash is from Forza Horizon 2's Ford Raptor, headlights and taillights are still the Humster3D versions, but will be made soon.

*Thanks to Humster3D for the original model for it's blueprints*

This thread will be dedicated to let you guys see my progress modeling a 2012 Expedition.
To start off, I have just finished the bodyshell (most of it):

Let me know what you think so far!
-
Yeah I just have all of my stuff in the latest patchday and it overrides everything before it
-
First: Use a mods folder. Look it up if you don't know.
Second: Put everything in PatchDay9 (Or the latest) and it will override anything previously. So you can have all of your updates in one RPF
-
The simple fact is, making certain guns illegal, only affects legal gun owners. The black market has, does, and will always exist. The same way people still smoke marijuana religiously, and cartels still make their fortunes off heroine. I believe yes, @c13 is very right, they need to invest more in how to react outside of your vehicle, but also, the bullet proofing is a very effective measure to prevent the executions of officers in their vehicles we have seen recently. I think there is nothing wrong with outfitting patrol cars with these options, there will always be bad guys, and they will always have the guns they want.
-
If you have access to the model you are using, make sure the lightsemissive material has a high emissiveMultiplier in the User Defined Options.

What Google Images say on the gun clips :^)
I believe it's a common way to actually call a magazine, so using that as an argument to discredit his opinion is quite low. My two cents.
A "Clip" is a loading technique which lacks a feeding mechanism, which a magazine has, such as a spring to push ammunition to the chamber. So a clip and a magazine are not interchangeable, they are fundamentally different, it is why they have different names.

The fact that you think its called a clip shows how uneducated you are on the subject, and shows your lack of knowledge necessary to give a valid opinion.
I was going to say that, but you said it first

It looks like this.
Oh, that is disappointing then, I wanted the file to show up as both of our files.

are you launching from the default location or you copied folder?
are you launching it thru GTAVLauncer.exe or rage plugin hook
I just created a shortcut to the new GTAVLauncher.exe that is in the copied directory
-
Here is what I have done.
- Copied my V directory to another place (to use for modding) (I have the steam version FYI)
- Set up my mods folder and installed LSPDFR
- Created a commandline using "scOfflineOnly"
- attempted to launch using the GTAVLauncer.exe
What happens is it tells me that it wasn't launched through steam and throws the Code 115 error
If I double click the shortcut fast enough, it will launch, but will sign me into Social Club, which is what I do NOT want because of my mods.
What is the problem here? I did this before, but can't remember how.

GTA is heavily known to hard-code almost every aspect of their games. Meaning something like LSPDFR and LCPDFR do not change anything in the GTA directory, but simply add to the games file system, but in order to change something hard coded like light patterns, you would have to edit GTAs source files yourself, which is very gray territory. Rockstar has been known to go after people who edit their code and release it. So even if you did, giving to someone would be very bad.
-
BxBugs123's Radiance mod is probably the best, non invasive way to edit the lights.
-
What are the specifics? Also it is important to make sure the model is legitimate for conversion.

Just to clarify This is a free modification? It wasnt quite clear hahahaha
LCPDFR has always been free, thanks to all of the development team, and ads on the site. Hopefully it will stay this way.

If it is the same as this vehicle:

I still have no clue. LOL, hope this picture helps somebody else.

Maybe scale down the rear traffic advisor a bit, it appears fairly large. I could be wrong though, just find some good reference pictures. What brand TA is it?
-
So the typical reasoning behind this mess of polygons is that you have too many polygons on one single object. Such as if you attach all of your equipment to your chassis_L0, then it may be too many polygons for zmodeler to export correctly.
Try seeing if any of your pieces have a large number of polygons in that single mesh, and try to split them up.

Glad to hear of the updates. Thanks to Original Light for being a mighty chill dude, and Iconography for handling the site for so long. I wish you the best @ineseri in managing the site!

Yeah, I agree with Steve. I am still learning, and school is taking over right now (finals week is approaching). Next semester should be better, I will try and release!

Is the whole copied dummy thing a big deal? I copied, renamed and then just put the lights under it. Here's my setup http://prntscr.com/98um80
Good news is I got the truck in game with lights working. I need to rearrange my lighting because the flash pattern is all off but that's no biggie. Question now is I've seen on "1997Chevyboy"s wall his 00' Silverado has flashing fog lights but a lot better. Why is my flash so dim and in the wrong area? http://prntscr.com/98usel
43 minutes ago, DominatorC said:Like how can I get less of this: http://prntscr.com/98uxaf and more of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=usHx8FAXZMk
First off, it seems as if he is not using the foglight for the flashing, but is using the extra 5 and 6 dummies?
Secondly, your hierarchy looks fine other than your extra5 doesn't seem to be named correctly. P.M. me if you still have troubles.
-
I'll just explain. First of all, you can not have any more than 1 single mesh with the same name, so you can't have two bonnet_L0s etc.
ELS uses extras 1-9 to spawn and despawn to imitate flashing emergency lights. They have to be setup like this:
extra_1 (this is just a dummy)
- extra_1_L0
- extra_1_L1
You follow that patter for extras 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8.
However 5, 6, and 9 are different.
extra_5 (this is just a dummy)
- extra5_L0
- extra5_L1
For whatever reason the game needs the first underscore to be removed.
So make sure all of the lights you want to flash at the same time are attached to one single object and named properly.
