  1. Thank goodness I found this.

    I got it to work buddies (at least for me).

    You have to download the "No-GTAVLauncher" (https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/no-gtavlauncher)

    Start the game via this launcher, wait 1-2 seconds after the small window appears, then directly start the RPH, so both start directly in sequence.

    This should do the trick. It starts in window mode but you can change this ingame back to Fullscreen. I recommend loading all plugins on startup.

    Internet connection should be on.

    Hope you guys can use it this way too.

    I made a bat file for this:

    @echo off

    start "GTA V" "path to your GTA V installation\No_GTAVLauncher.exe"

    timeout 5

    start "RAGE" "path to your GTA V installation\RAGEPluginHook.exe"

    The timeout is to allow for that pause so RAGE has something to hook into.  Hope it helps someone to bypass that annoying launcher demanding online, no idea if it works longer than before, but for me it works.  Thanks, @darkblue!

    In terms of your damage system idea, you mean something like Arma 2 and 3? Where the more damaged the vehicle gets the greater the chance the vehicle just wont work all together.

    I have no idea about how those systems work, I'm afraid, but I suppose?  Mostly it is when a vehicle is on its rims, since those will wear down sooner rather than later in real life - at least once it is more than one, depending on the vehicle.  Handling lines and deformation mods can help, but vehicles on rims in GTA V still have quite a bit of power to push on and can keep doing so for an indefinite time as it stands.

  3. I too do like the new pursuit AI, as well as how AI traffic reacts better (in general) with 0.4.

    What I would like to see, at least via a mod if nothing else, is fuel for vehicles being pursued.  And for the police, or at least the player.  Only really needed during actual pursuits, as those can, theoretically, go on for ever unless you go classic ram-happy GTA police on the 'chasee'.

    Oh, forgot to add - a damage system too, so they don't keep running on rims until the end of time.  😉

    The default freemode character in GTA V only has proper clothing for the LSPD, so if you plan on playing as different agencies you will have to download the appropriate textures. I would not worry about it too much for now as there will be xml definitions for most major uniform and vehicle packs at release or shortly after.

    You can have multiple characters, as many as you want in fact. They all "spawn" at the same house for now though, i.e. with their appropriate personal vehicle and isolated from each other but it will be the same interior.

    Much obliged for those answers.  Looking forward to this release - and any upcoming ones as well, of course.  The work you all put in is greatly appreciated.

    Or you can play as a freemode character and download appropriate textures for it to play as different agencies with your main character.

    Thank you for the reply.  What I mainly wonder though is when I put on different clothes with the proper textures for different agencies, but these textures need to be downloaded, as they are not included?

    I assume creating a freemode character will replace previously existing character, though, so I cannot have several ones living in different locations.  Is this correct?

  6. I believe this comes with Simple Trainer - look for trainerv.ini in your GTA V installation folder.

    Easiest way to disable all the keys (except the ones to bring the trainer up) is to edit this line:

    KeyBindingsDisabled=0

    and make it into

    KeyBindingsDisabled=1

    If it is anything other than this one, then I am not sure what it might be, but this trainer uses K and L for indicators by default.  You can always edit these if you want this functionality.  Hope this helps.

  7. Regarding pedestrians, if at all possible, please make them react to lights and sirens too (or at least, most of the time - seen some crazy stuff thanks to phones).  That would be awesome too, as at the moment they never react to anything but shots or horns (and they can so panic over horns it is ever so silly).  Please, if possible.

  8. Same problem here, except with different mods (Heli Orbit and Traffic Stop Backup - the only ones I have tried so far).

    It counts down, then nothing.  Often it waits for some google site or some doubleclick as well, then nothing.  :sad:

    Tried a few times, always the same result.  Never had this issue before, nothing has changed on my system (same browser etc).

  9. Semi trailer trucks, flatbed trucks and all those big rigs, they never pull over to the side for me.  They do stop if I am get front of them, of sorts, but if I come from behind them or similar they appear to completely ignore the sirens and lights alike.  Buses as well, come to think of it.  Oh, and RVs too.

    I assume they run a different code or something, similar to the police?  It can be really frustrating sometimes.  I have seen it in plenty of videos so I know it is not just me.

    So, can anything be done to correct this?  :unsure:

    Please walk me through this process? I am not good with some file-related stuff.

    I found the backup but when I click on it, it still loads me into the new version

    ****ALSO WITH THE NEW UPDATE GTA KEEPS CRASHING****

    In GTA V installation directory there is a file called GameBackups.rph.  I used 7zip to open it, but it should be possible to rename it to, say, GameBackups.zip instead.  Then you can open it with WinZip or WinRAR (or perhaps even windows).

    Inside this is another archive, named after the version it is, 1.0.617.1,1.0.505.2.  Open that and inside there you should find three files, GTA5.exe, GTAVLauncher.exe and update.rpf.  Place the two EXEs go into the installation directory of GTA V, the update.rpf goes into the Update folder found there.

    Hope this helps.  :smile:
