Well I do want to see some blooms from far away with shiny bright lights. I remember Bxbuggs sheriff patrol (Non ELS) from back in the day was sooo perfect. You could see the lights bright and shinning from miles away. Do you remember that?
Non-ELS cars typically had coronas setup correctly so yes they did look good but ELS coronas are trash in my opinion. If I can't find a way in the game files to increase emissive bloom you will have to use ELS coronas if you want to see some shininess in the distance.

There is a list of hashes for PoliceB, FIB, Granger, Ambulance and the firetruck, but you cannot put "0x161768E7", which is a secondary fire tone, in the VCF and have it work. You'd have to rename it to AMBULANCE_WARNING, or POLICE_WARNING because ELS is not configured for other siren hashes.
Nope, it would work there's no reason why it wouldn't it's just a name hash. ELS doesn't need configuring to use other hashes. "0x161768E7" is not the hash anyway it's just the file name so it wouldn't work if you put that in the VCF anyway. The hashes could be something like "FIRE_MAINSIREN" (just an example) and then inputting that into the VCF it will work but we just don't know the names of the hashes except for the LSPD default sirens.

The thing is, even if you manage to find the hash and use it for the firetruck main, you still have secondary sirens that will reflect that of the police sirens. ELS needs to be updated so that it can handle sirens for multiple types of vehicles and not just the same siren for all.
No because each vehicle has its own primary and secondary siren. The warning siren is either POLICE_WARNING or AMBULANCE_WARNING, that's just how GTA is setup,. Effectively, ELS could be updated and developers could find a way to have 'Addon Sirens' but each siren file in GTA 5 has its own hash - all ELS needs to use a siren sound is its hash.

With the way ELS is set up, there's nothing anyone except Cain can do to make multi sirens available.
Really? I thought the hashes just needed inputting into the VCF vehicle file. The ELS mod doesn't need changing, just the hashes need identifying.

Hello all,
So it's been getting on for a year now since ELS V was released, which I must say is a great mod which clearly has really had effort put into, certainly when you compare the first version of ELS for IV. However, one thing I (and possible a silent majority) are particularly frustrated with is why not a single scripter/coder/modder has been able to find out what the audio hashes are for all the GTA V sirens, which in turn can then be used within the VCF files for ELS.
Is it really such a difficult, time-consuming task to crack the hashes? I am in no way criticising the ELS mod or work behind it, however I am finding it quite unbearable hearing the same siren on every emergency vehicle in-game. If this isn't brought to light with the ELS team then perhaps some knowledgeable individuals and modders could give it a go at getting the other sirens working with ELS?
Cheers

Don't bother with ELS coronas. 90% are set up incorrectly by authors and are pretty bad. Set the Coronas distance to 1000.0 in ELS.ini so you won't see them. I am currently looking into the HBAO, SSAO and related files to see if I can increase the bloom cutoff for vehicle emissives. I will update you on anything.

Any luck?

Reduce the CityDensity a little, maybe to 1.2. Seems strange though, I have a pretty average PC and get no crashes from it. Crashes only happen when I go above 1.4.
-
Here's what I do to get realistic city traffic:
1. Go into Documents/Rockstar Games/GTA V and settings.xml. Scroll down and change the CityDensity value to 1.400000 (must not be any higher or the game will crash).
2. Download LS Traffic by Cass on GTA5Mods and use the OIV package installer, this will not overwrite any gameconfig.xml, just add/change required values.
Done! Expect a small performance drop but much more realistic city traffic.

Bleep999 has made a Met Police BMW R2100 Bike ELS enabled. There is a motorbike and helmet ped on this site by AmateurModder I believe.

This is a Premier Hazard siren. Numerous versions exist for IV and V and are available for download. I think there is one by BritishGamer88 (Premier Hazard 7004)
-
Hmmm, maybe try edit visualSettings.dat car.defaultlight.emissive Values, to 5000.0
-
If you are sure that Shader Quality and PostFX are high. Then download RadianceV mod on this site :)
-
In graphics options, set Shader Quality to High and PostFX to High

I used Paint.NET. Firstly, I exported and cropped out BG88s textures from one of his vehicles ytd files in OpenIV, saved them as PNG files. Then exported and opened the light textures for a specific car, and added BG88s as a new layer on top and positioned them to cover the old light textures.
-
Yeah Kallous is right. I've done this by using BritishGamer88's darker textures and overlaying them on the light blue textures used by the likes of Bleep999. It's a simple task.

So there's no way to fix it yet?
Nope. I'd recommend putting it in ELS support or contacting Lt Caine or Gravel Road Cop.
-
This is a common bug with ELS, along with another minor ones that will need fixing. You'll just have to make do.
-
Well you can do what I said to the individual vehicles but I can see that's not very practical so sorry I don't know otherwise.

-
You can prevent that dialog and messages by going into AppData - Local - New Technology Studio - Apps - OpenIV - Core.xml
Then change the number from 181 to 182. No idea how but this fixes it for now.

Hi guys, this is not necessarily a 'needing support' topic, it is a request for people to join me in helping fix something part of GTA V.
So if you were not already aware, in GTA V, the bloom on the emergency lights fades out horribly as you move away from the vehicle. Unless you use the ELS corona system, the lights from a distance away look very unrealistic, lack colour and appear almost non-existent. Unfortunately many vehicle authors do not setup these coronas correctly or even at all.
What I would like is a team of any of you in the community to help out to try and increase the radius of GTAs bloom on the emergency lights. I would like people to investigate and test modifying different game files (visualSettings.dat, timecycle files or many others). The light bloom only works in-game when you set your PostFX to High and Shader Quality to High, which makes me think this could be a PostFX related matter. It is also made brighter by increasing Car.DefaultLight.Emissive values in visualsettings.dat. After some countless testing and investigating however, I have never found a way to increase the bloom's radius/distance so that it does not diminish.
If you would like to join me in helping solve this annoying problem that would greatly benefit the GTA V community if it is, please reply to this topic or PM me. Please ensure you have experience with modding GTA V, using OpenIV and understand the mechanics of this issue. I would greatly appreciate your support.
Many thanks,

Peds can also have the same effect, make sure they are all correctly installed. Try a better gameconfig too.

Install a gameconfig, it's more than likely to do with vehicle mods. I had the same issue. Also make sure all vehicle mods are installed in the correct patchday folders (not all 13g for example)

How to get coronas like this?
