when programmers release scripts they encode their software, and make it so other people can't change it. So in the short run, there is no "good" way to change it

That said, there are some bad ways to do it (decompilers etc), but it's a super dick move.

However. If there's an .ini you can do it that way

    Hey Albo,

    Couple quick questions:

    1) Is there any way to disable the blip siren from sounding? If I am in ELS light stage 1 or 2 and hit the manual siren key all that activates is the blip siren rather than the tone I specified in the .ini. It works fine with no lights activated as well as light stage 3.

    2) Are AI units able to use custom siren tones? I just started playing around with vehicle siren setups for my police# and sheriff# units but can't seem to get the AI to run hot with sirens in-game.

Thank you for all your awesome work!

to get the ai to use them you have to install the desired siren sounds to vehicles.awc in mods/x64/audio/sfx/resident.rpf. If you want a tutorial on how to do this just PM me and i'll be happy to either run it through with you over text or help via teamviewer.

I don't understand. You're trying to make a callout pack that captures "real call's that Officers have to deal with every day" but then you go on to list calls that would almost never happen i.e. "Stolen FIB Vehicle" or "Stolen Fire Truck". Furthermore, the "Corrupt Cop" callout shouldn't even be a call. Why would that be put out over the radio? Internal Affairs would handle that. Next the "Medic Robbery" doesn't make much sense because you put "Medical Marijuana". Ambulances do not carry medical marijuana. And most people that try to score drugs off medics submit false reports and complain of pain instead of physically robbing the EMT's.

Now, you list Shots fired and Shootout as two different calls. What's the difference? Same with Officer In Trouble and Officer Needs Assistance. Just put the two under the same name.  The Stolen Plane seems odd too but you listed that as Rare and Optional so that's fine.

Other than these few issues I really like all the other call ideas, these certain ones need to be more thought through and you need to ask yourself how often is an FBI vehicle or a Fire Truck really stolen? And are medics being robbed at gunpoint that prevalent of an issue?

yeah. I agree fully. I'm gonna repost the list with my suggestions:

    • Home Invader
    • Refusing to pay Taxi
    • Officer In Trouble Merged with officer needs assistance
    • Foot Pursuit (Can lead into the suspect going into a boat, jumping in a car, and more)
    • Noise Complaint
    • Person being followed
    • Taxi Mugging merged with Refusing to Pay.
    • Fist Fight (Can be either a group of people or just two people)
    • Shootout (Between Cops v Gang, or Gang v Gang) Merged with Shots Fired
    • Gun Store Robbery
    • Shots fired call
    • Officer down  (if we're going for realism this will have to be relatively rare)
    • Stolen FIB Vehicle
    • Stolen Firetruck
    • Medic Robbery (For Medical Marijuana, or Medical Supplies) Again, if we're going for realism then this will almost never happen. It's not the preferred MO.
    • Corrupt Cop (Detective stuff)  Not something a beat cop will be investigating IMHO.
    • Sexual Assault
    • Rape In Progress Merged with Sexual Assualt
    • Stolen Plane (This is gonna be extremely rare & optional)
    • Ambulance Crash
    • Police Car Crash
    • Regular Crash (Between two or more vehicles)
    • Off-Duty Cop In Trouble
    • Road Rage
    • Drug Deal (Detective stuff)
    • Officer needs assistance (Could be anything from regular traffic stop, to fight in progress)

yes, you can normally delete the cars in the dlc.rpf files, (keep the addons in) and just keep the peds where they are.

presumably, i'll have to delete the .metas as well? and remove them from the content.xml?
