yay finally a Australian LSDPFR thread. What up guys! Question?. There are a few aussie mods out there that allow us to play as Australian cops but it seems that modders are releasing vehicles and uniforms individually. is there a possiblitiy that a "Australian LSPDFR" team of modders combine together to create one overhauled Australian mod with a whole lot of varies uniforms and vehicles from different states?

Probably not quite something like that, although I myself am planning a "little" vicpol pack, which is one of the reasons why I'm not releasing every one of my models as soon as they get finished. I'm still tossing up weather or not uniforms will be included in this too, as i'd either have to make them myself or get someone else to.

Just a quick W.I.P skin for this will hopefully be released today

If I get time to learn the zmodeler basics I'll try add all the nsw police gear to this, if not then someone else can do it- it's unlocked

Ahh yeah I was going to get kyben to do a vicpol livery for that. I mucked around with it in zmodeler but I was only fixing the collisions for my own use, the main body collision is lower than the skids so when it's on the ground it looks odd

XB Falcon (with permissions ;)). I'm not 100% sure they were ever used IRL (I did find a couple of photos of a VIC highway patrol candy-car XB, but thats about it). I know its a ford and all, but I think it'll make a nice older patrol car

That'd be a nice variation to all the modern cars.

Some bits of advice I can give you to start off is muck around with zmod a lot. Don't give up too soon or you would've just wasted your money. And if you ever get up to scratch modelling something (eg. Lightbar or a piece of gear) use a different program for the modelling bit, and then import it to zmodeler for the texturing and converting into the game format. The modelling tools in zmodeler are useless. I suggest using either blender or 3ds max. 3ds Max costs money but is a bit better than blender which is free. That being said I've used blender for years and still haven't found any problems with it

Does anyone have a decent tutorial video they can share for ZModeler? Have a car I'd like to convert to a police model, but dear god there are so many buttons and things in that damn app!

    What model you got?

I don't think there's any good tutorials, but I haven't had a real good look. I learnt the hard way by lots of trial and error

  5. When you launch rage plugin hook for the first time it goes through and checks you have required things like microsoft redistributes, was there anything there that was marked with an x instead of a tick? Does the youtube tutorial follow the same instructions of the lspdfr install guide? Are you using the right versions of lspdfr and rage plugin hook? the rage version included with lspdfr is outdated and needs to be re-downloaded from the rage website

  6. Depends on the state's and the areas of the state's too. I was up at the Sunshine Coast for New Years and I saw about 15 VE's and only one VF. But down in Melbourne most are VF's, I've seen a few VFII's and there's still a few VE's hanging around here and there. And then up where I live my local cop shop got 3 VFII's (for GD) around February this year.

Argh, I cant see the greatest car cause of the stupid forum limits on those fancy links :(

    VFII, you're missing out.

     - Unmarked Holden Ute (not sure on the exact model they use here in the ACT, probably a VE/VF)

You mean one like this? but an SS variation not evoke https://gyazo.com/305a57ea7b0e101374bad432bf48f5dc

    - More Aussie unmarked cars, not sure about other states but here we have a variety, would love to see a Falcon, Camry, maybe a Landcruiser or similar (pretty sure ACT has a RAV4 too, but who wants to drive one of those?)

Falcon on the way, ford territory on the way, evoke on the way, SS(s) on the way

When I compare these I think they look pretty similar/the same except for the lack of the windows, if anything I think the Ambulance is a little longer, or maybe that's just my eyes.
I don't know the exact model we use for ambulance's, but I actually think this is it but with the windows instead of panel.

Yep that's the one we're planning on getting, but it'll be a while down the track. Territory, evoke's, divvy van and probably some scania firetrucks will come first

  9. You can always just do it yourself, instead of using mods.

Find visualsettings.dat and look for car.defaultlight.day.emissive.on and car.defaultlight.night.emissive.on. I can't remember exactly what the numbers next to them are by default but all you need to do is make the value higher, for example mine are

    car.defaultlight.day.emissive.on    1000.50
    car.defaultlight.night.emissive.on    600.50

Then simply save the file, and re-import it into openiv and voila!

Muck around with the values until you get something you're happy with.

Oh and I should probably also mention that your post-fx setting should be set to ultra for it to have the best effect, if it's disabled they won't flash bright at all

  10. You probably installed something that has modified your visualsettings.meta that has increased the brightness of lights. BUT, judging by the quality of those photos, you have a low end computer/settings are down really low, and you have your post-fx settings disabled. With post-fx disabled, the lights don't have that nice effect that comes with increasing the light brightness. So all you're left with is a dodgy, over-saturated light
