To be fair, if we look back at human history we will see that we have a long and ridiculous record of judicially processing animals for charges that ranged from bestiality to spreading diseases or even murder, and which resulted in sentences like ostracism or death.

Illustration depicting the trial of a pig and her five piglets charged with the murder of a 5 year old kid in Savigny-sur-Etang, France, in the year 1457. The piglets were acquitted; the mother, senteced to death and hanged.

Lol, public execution of another pig, 14th century.
Yes, we are one strange species.

Cool stuff, Dennistp. The Land Rover kind of remind me to the Santanas the Guardia Civil used in Spain.
Some random pics with big cars and big hats

And if you guys ever need a station wagon... You know which one to buy. Don't thank me.
Do you know the context of that one?

Safety Harbor Police 1976 Ford Torino (Pinellas County Sheriff's Office).

Well, the guy whose post I mentioned earlier referred to it as "GMC-White truck". Now I found out that at some point GMC trucks and White trucks were merged by their owner Volvo, so this maybe GMC-White truck indeed.
By the time this truck was made, the company was simply the White Motor Company. It wasn't until, if I am not mistaken, the late 1970's or early 1980's when the White Motor Co. began merging with other companies till the White-GMC was created in the late 1980's. It can be kind of misleading.

After some research, I believe it could be a White Motor Company truck actually.

What do you mean by 9 pictures? The latest gallery feed at the top of the forums holds 35.

It was handier and easier to see when every thumbnail was displayed in the main gallery section, in the place now the featured and few of the most recent uploaded pictures are.
By the way, has the shortcut to instert pictures been removed from the reply box?

Perhaps it's that I have barely been active since the site changed the layout and I am not used to it yet but, aside of the normal messiness of a new design, there's a bunch of things that are bugging me so far.
The first thing is the new gallery format which only holds up to 9 pictures, which are often spammed by the same person. It would be welcomed if the old format could be brough back, where the miniatures of many more screenshots where shown.
The second thing is how the profile works now when you open it. I would rather it to show the 'about me' section in the first place, as it's where I post the information about my mods and stuff instead of my latest activity around the forums, which I guess that nobody gives a single fuck about. Is there any way to change this so the first thing that comes out when you open the profile is the 'about me' page?
Another issue is that the anonymous mode doesn't seem to work properly anymore, as it shows the last time the user had visited the forums.

Pretty cool pictures! Few more of the Portland Police Bureau. Chevrolet Nova and Dodge Diplomat with the older paintjob and 1986 Chevrolet Caprice with the late 1980's paint job.

Interesting idea but you could elaborate the textures a bit more. I'd change the font and make the 'UN' of the doorside bigger and add few more of them in the hood or the roof or add other fancy letterings around some of the trucks (ie. Military Observers).

The Military Police one could be elaborated a bit further as well like below in the spoiler.

So I was watching They Live (1988) movie and thought this scene, where the protagonist picks a shotgun from a LAPD Chevrolet Impala cruiser, could be a good reference for modding, assuming that the cruiser isn't simply a fictional movie made prop. Notice the place where the shotgun is actually placed, horizontally, below where the officer's leg would go.
The scene also would show the configuration of the radio, the speed radar and how the Mobile Data Terminal is attached to the floor of the cruiser. Starts at 8:47.

1960's LCPD Pack

Sweet job with those old school officers.

Some family member of mine got arrested few years back after somebody called cops on him for slapping his own son, who was misbehaving, in public. It was absurd, it's not like he was beating him or something; just a little corrective that wouldn't harm him at all.

The textures are distributed in various files, these are which I've been able to find in a quick search so there might be more.

For the next time, the GTA IV collision map should be useful to find textures or models of each part of the map.

Los Angeles County Sheriff Chevrolet Blazer. If I recall correctly, some of the early 1989-1990 Cops episodes featured a ride a long with the LASD in one of these.

I can't imagine how it had to feel to be moved to the hospital in a hearse; hey, sorry if I bother you guys but... I am positive I am still alive!

Agent? Is that some fed guy? If that's so I'd love to know what fed agency has a uniform like that, never saw it before!
Judging by the patch in the arm I suppose it's just a higher rank of the Pasadena PD (check the third picture, there's a closer view).

In April 1989, a gunman commandeered a Greyhound Bus and held its passengers hostage on Parliament Hill. The man, who was protesting the death of Lebanese civilians, surrendered peacefully.

It was in the parking of a closed ski resort, to avoid cops to bother us as they wouldn't get up there. The thing is that the parking was in a slope and there was no way to put the car totally horizontally. So everytime I released the brakes and messed with the clutch pedal, the engine stalled and the car rolled backwards towards a river that flowed at the bottom of a ravine at the end of the slope...

These will look fabulous in your duty belt.

Well, not sure if I should have posted this in the request sections or it's fine here as there's already some progress so anyway, as it seems that the development of the Dodge Diplomat has reached a dead end, I resort to you guys for some help. Basically the model needs:> Change the chrome material.> Add new headlight textures.> Add new interior texture (seats, etc.)This is the current state of the model ingame. As you can see, even though the interior is modeled, aside from the gauges and few details, it lacks of texture in the seats and stuff.

I have the model in z3d. If you have experience in modeling and are interested, I can handle you the file.-

Hey FCV96, hope you like these!

Always wondered the background of this picture, as there is hardly any info or pictures of it. The car hasn't even got markings aside from the basic color theme. In addition, it doesn't have a NYPD license plate either. Perhaps this Cadillac was being tested prior to be added to the fleet?
Another picture of the rear.

Some cop cars pictures from the 1990 Oka crisis, better known for the picture of the face off between a Canadian soldier and a Mohawk warrior.
To sum it up, Oka (Quebec) local Government planned to build a golf course over some land claimed by the Mohawk people, which included a native burial ground. In protest, the Mohawk people set up barricades in some of the roads accesing the area. The Surete Du Quebec (Quebec Provincial Police) was called in to end up with the barricades, which led to a gun fight that left one dead officer. The SQ retreated, leaving their cruisers and an excavator back. The Mohawk wrecked and used them to build barricades, starting with a standoff that lasted for 78 days, until the Canadian Army was deployed.

Hong Kong police force apparently preferred nice clean breeze. I failed to identify the model, sadly.
I believe it could be a Bedford A-type.
