  1. Sorry I didn't want to sound rude or anything. English is not my native language. I apologize.

Why is everyone so harsh around here? I'm just trying to help to make this mod better!

Anyway what do you mean with "reasonably close"? I did another test and moved just about 3 meters away to prevent getting overrun by the arriving police car but even then your mod didn't recognize the abandoned car anymore.

As I said, when I made the call I was so close I even touched the car.

Why is the arriving cop car aiming at me instead towards the abandoned car?

  2. I just found something else which needs to be addressed, sorry.

So I called a cop to take an abandoned car. I stood right behind it and even touched it. While he was still on his way I got into my car and moved some 10 meters away. The cop car arrived and bumped into my car. Then I was told there is no car to take and the cop drove away but the abandoned car was still there and in vicinity. That indicates you use the player character as target on the arrival as well (not just with the call) and the abandoned car was outside the registration radius at this point in time. Could you make the abandoned vehicle as target point once it got registered with the call?

  3. So here it is. The crash happened as soon as the paramedic left the ambulance vehicle.

[ERROR - 7:54:41 PM] [Main] CRITICAL ERROR DURING MAINLOOP! REPORT THIS ISSUE AT LCPDFR.COM BY INCLUDING THIS LOGFILE.

Should be a piece of cake to fix it. ;)

  4. Just my 2ct: I bought GTA V for PS3 because I can't wait for the PC release but to my own surprise it got boring already. There is not much to do once all missions are completed and I have even managed to visit each and every corner of this huge map at least once. I'm under the impression it took longer to do that in Liberty City.

So currently I think GTA V (on PC) will only guarantee long time fun when we finally get those mods which we love in GTA IV and most of all that would be LSPDFR of course.

  5. Hi there, I got a bug report for you.

I tried your mod yesterday and I pressed Shift+R without having any injured person around. I did it by mistake but anyway soon after the message that told me an ambulance is on it's way the whole game crashed. I write mods myself and so I guess that happened due to a NullReferenceException or a ped array with 0 size which causes an IndexOutOfRangeException. The weird thing is that usually just the mod crashes but not the whole game. However I never used the LCPDFR API. Maybe it's because of that but I don't know.

Also the game crashes generally very often without any notification with this mod installed. My general recommendation is: Check for existence each and every time you make any call to a ped or a vehicle. The game engine handles those very rigorously in order to keep memory consumption at a minimum and to optimize rendering time.

As I said I never used the LCPDFR API and so I don't know anything about it. However with the .net Scripthook you can lock any ped from being disposed by simply setting the IsRequiredForMission property to true. I would do it on injured peds when the player calls an ambulance but don't forget to set it to false again after the rescue.

  6. I thought this one was broken too.  Couldn't find the thief many times but yesterday i searched the zone and finally passed him and a marker popped up on a vehicle.  Text said "He spotted you" and I started pursuit and caught him.  It works well,  sometimes you just miss finding him and he gets away. Just like real life.  Great mod, I like it.

So that means as long as the area is marked the thief is around, right?

  7. Hi guys,

I just wanted to tell about a strange experience I made with the new version 1.0b. Maybe this can be helpful for some players as well.

    1. So I started the game right after the installation of the update and it took just about one minute to crash the whole game without further notice. I did nothing special in the game. In fact I've been waiting for the traffic light to go green.

    2. I started the game again but it crashed immediately.

    3. I was so frustrated about these issues that I restored a full backup which I made right before and so I was back at V1.0a. I played for a while, everything was as usual but then this event camera movement happened again. Well I am one of the players who absolutely can't stand this feature.

    4. So I updated to 1.0b again and now the game runs better than ever before. :woot:

After all one should think that nothing has changed with this second installation but apparently...

  8. Hi guys, this is the creator of PTS (person transport service). This mod has undergone some improvements and bug fixes and the name is not LimoService anymore.

Anyway I wonder why your installation instructions are so complicated. Just open the rar file and you will see (among other things) a folder called GTA IV.

Drag and drop it into the Documents folder.

Next drag and drop the PTS.net.dll into c:ProgramsRockstar GamesEFLCScripts   and/or   c:ProgramsRockstar GamesGTA IVScripts.

    That's it!

Also the rar comes with a guide where the installation process is described in all detail. :)

  9. I used to fly since FS98 up to FSX but I stopped doing it since I married. We moved together and there's no room for the equipment ever since. I was never a fan of FSX because the simulator always crashed when I changed to another aircraft.  FS2004 was my favorite and with all the addons I had I think it was way better than FSX. What also bugs me about FSX is that Microsoft wants a good amount of money for each new DLC aircraft.
