The things that messed up my game after updating to 0.39/757 were my mods folder/modded vehicles, and alot of outdated scripts. Once I deleted my mods folder and got rid of script mods that had not been updated for 0.39 my game worked great. I also deleted any files in my GTA folder ending in .LOG im not sure why this helps, but even when I have made small changes on the fly, i have gotten crashes, but once all the .LOG files are removed, my game has loaded flawlessly. Im not an expert yet, but I hope some of this ends up helping.

I haven't run into that issue myself, Have you updated LSPDFR since upgrading to 757.4/Rage 0.39? Its still 0.3.1 but there must have been some sort of compatibility update.
-
Have you updated all of the scripts that have updated since the update came out? I had several that were crashing my game. GTAcomesalive was one of them. Also some of the much older scripts like MorecontrolV may or may not be compatible with 0.39/757.4 I am far from an expert on all this stuff but temporarily removing some of those scripts while awaiting the creators to have time to update as necessary fixed my game.
Also if you have modded vehicles, I had to reinstall all of mine, once I dumped my old "Mods" folder the game loaded right up.
One other thing I have found that helps me with little crashes is to go in to the GTAV main folder and delete any old logfiles (anything ending with .log I have made quick changes and have the game crash to desktop on the next startup, I go in delete all those logfiles and the game works flawless with the new changes. Not sure why that helps, but it does.

Definitely Albo1125's full suite of mods are a must in my opinion. Also check out youtube and watch some of Jeff Favignano or Polecat or Bay area Buggs videos. They usually have a list of the mods they are using listed in the video.
Ultimately it comes down to your play style though. I am changing things up constantly as new things get released or updated.

Still having the same issues as before with a complete fresh install of the new version. It is the same issue that everyone else is reporting now too. The mouse just won't move.

Definitely will try this again when it comes back up for download. Still baffled as to why I was the only one it didn't seem to work for at all.

Ok, so I am having an odd issue with this also. The mod files are installed in the plugins/lspdfr folder, I am on duty, I press and hold E till the computer pops up, it shows the user and password as set in the INI(tried default and custom) and the background shows differently depending on which car I chose, but from there I can't do anything, I can't get the arrow to scroll down to the login button, I also can't get out of the computer screen and return to the game once I opened it. My only choice is to ctrl alt delete and force quit the game. It did this on several attempts and even fresh download and reinstalls.
Any Idea what the heck I am doing wrong?

All issues appear to be fixed. Either thru the issue being resolved or mod author havingr reloaded the files.

I am having the issue also, I primarily use chrome and I was looking to update the police toolbox mod. Had problems on Chrome so I tried Microsoft Edge Browser on Windows 10 and it did the same thing.

Seems like it, although I am far from an expert at this yet. As far as I knew, the Mods folder is created by OpenIV and is where car models etc go and it seems one of the issues is there, the secondary issue is certain plugins in the plugins folder also need updates. We may just need to give the mod creators a day or three to update their files.

I install my mods in the "mods" folder.
So what good do they do on the desktop?
I temporarily moved them to my desktop to see if it would solve the rage hook crash when attempting to load the game. Maybe I mis-spoke slightly by saying it works. By taking out the OpenIV. ASI, OpenIV.INI and the mods folder from the GTA V directory, I was able to get ragehook to load the game without crashing. Once I was able to do that, is when I discovered that Albo1125's mods need some updates also after this latest patch, which it appears he is aware of.
So far all I have used the mods folder for is a couple of car models, which I am trying to sort out now to see if a reinstall of those work or if there is more too it.

OpenIV
Heh, now I feel dumb.. Thank you for your help!

THIS worked for me. I have been bouncing back and forth between the forums and reinstalling items, Finally I copied the "mods" folder to my desktop and the Openiv.asi and Openiv.ini file to my desktop and then deleted the ones in my GTA V directory and the game loaded up fine. However then once I attempted to go "on Duty" after picking an officer and a vehicle it seems that Albos Mods need an update to be compatible with this new version of GTA.
A side question that I have is what is the correct program that I should use to view the .RPF files? I tried opening with notepad but it is all gibberish?
Thank you,

Worked perfectly ChiefAl, I have one more question if you happen to know. I have 3 VDh/Abraxas scripts installed. Police Helper, Coroner, and Tow truck. I see I can request towing and coroner from the police helper toolbox. Do i need all 3 scripts or am I causing a conflict. I get lots of crashes whenever I try to call for Coroner or a tow truck.

Awesome, Thank you very much!!

Thanks chiefal,. This is what I suspected. Turned out the bulk of my issue was in my save game file, i really only redownloaded Gta IV to play LCPDFR. i wouldnt mind finding a story complete save game file, but havent found one yet that works without xliveless.
My current LCPDFR manual install included DSound and im not sure if I can just swap the two out or not?

Hi,
So I am experiencing what I think is an odd issue, and don't know if I need to change something or not. I have LCPDFR 1.1 installed and all is working fine with it... I also have Abraxas police helper mod, and bravehearts policing mod installed. ELS 8.5 etc.
I seem to be having Abraxas's mod and Bravehearts mod starting and running at game start and BEFORE I hit ALT + P to start LCPDFR. Is this normal. I am starting from a new game, and something i have installed also seems to be preventing the arrows to start the game of bowling with Michelle in that first date mission. LCPDFR log has a few minor errors which might be my issue. I am attaching a copy below.
Thanks,

I have fixed my issue with a clean install of GTA and LCPDFR. Seems like I had an issue with the auto installer. Switched to the manual install package and it works flawless.
Thanks,

Im not really sure. Im away from the main computer now, so ill repost the whole log in the morning. But if im looking at everything right. Lcpdfr is installed correctly, but I believe i see an error with the settings file and also some sort of error connecting to a server.
When i had everything working right earlier today, the only thing i could never do is link my account in the settings file. I kept getting a 502 bad gateway error on that.

Hi,
So I have been signed up for a long time but never really posted. I have almost always been able to find the answers I've needed in searching other posts. Anyways, I got tired of GTA IV for awhile and just finally reinstalled my Steam copy last week. Its updated to version 1.07 and I came here to get all the updated files but I am having some issues that I can't figure out in the logfile. I have attached it below.
The scripts so far that I have are
LCPDFR 1.1
ELS 8.5
Simple Native Trainer 6.5
VDH Tow, Coroner, and also police helper mod
Traffic Flow
Bravehearts Policing script
Plugins folder has
Callouts + and Wouters call outs
Could someone please take a look at the logfile and see if you can help me shed some light on what I am doing wrong?
Thanks,
Tom

Crash On Start-up

Yes, My game would instant crash before I deleted it. I never got my update folder to say it needed updating within OpenIV either. But there was definitely a problem. Try this, Drag your "MODS" folder if you use it to your desktop first. Let it completely copy over so all your original changes are saved. Then delete the mods folder from the GTAV folder. See if your game launches. I bet it will. If something else is still outdated though, you may still get other crashes.
