  1. So you tried buying a prop gun, not a mace gun?

A lot of cops can be/are cry babies about various things, but this is just a bad idea. A spray can is clearly that. This would absolutely get people shot because it is a gun.

I collect blank firing guns, because its legal for felons to have however, only a fool would brandish them. I did not have the mace gun. I would have carried the mace gun for protection concealed.

  2. :( Sad news my order has been cancelled apparently the the US has already placed bans on them. here's what he sent:

      Hello Kyre -

I am sorry to inform you that the USA is no longer accepting shpments of
these blank firing stage prop pistols into the country.  We are unable to
fulfill your order at this time. If they open the doors back up again, we'll
let you know and we have you on our mailing list.  I'm sorry.  Anything that
you may have charged will be promptly refunded to you. I don't show that a
payment was made to our paypal address yet, so I am hoping that you have not
made a payment through another way.

    Sincerely,
    Daniel

uhhhhhh :( US cops are such cry babies.

  3. Even if this was for officers, it's still a stupid idea. It'll just make people think the officer is about to shoot them and might try desperate moves like shooting first or anything like that.

See you at your funeral once cops will have killed you by mistaking your "self-defense non-lethal" weapon with a real gun, in addition to your militia and your fake badge.

No sir this is strictly to protect my home. Im a felon im not allowed to carry real guns. I wanted to use my brother to establish the militia it was my idea but he was going to enforce it because it because he has a right to bear arms. That Idea has been destroyed by local P.D. the said i was trying to entice violence and could be arrested. He then smirked at me and said" you think people haven't tried that"?

  4. There's nothing wrong with what everyone is asking here. In your original post, you made it sound like you told him you'd help with the project, and had no idea what to do. Everyone is correct in saying that is ridiculous.

It's like heading over to an open source OS and asking if you can start creating their graphics drivers, despite not knowing how to do so.

If you don't know how to code, then don't join a project. It's simple. Instead, start your own project and practice till you are good enough to help someone else.

I myself am a programmer, and understand that everyone needs to start somewhere. But if you are new to it, this would not be the way to begin, especially if he'll be using the code you create.

I've mentored some newbie developers at work, and I'll be honest, their code is shit, just as mine was when I first began. It would be extremely ridiculous to try and expect your first bit of coding experience to be used in a live project that will be made public.

Stick to your own projects till you're ready.

First off you are in no moral position to tell me what to stick to especially seeing that I had permission from the owner himself to try and edit the project.

Next to assume that I know absolutely nothing about coding is stupid, if i knew nothing about it, why would I ask? I was referring to ticket time itself.

Now what you should do is pay attention to the question, I asked for help from people who knew a thing or two about coding. I did not ask for personal opinions. if what you're speaking doesn't meet the  criteria of what I asked its null, and you are personally being a jack rabbit.

  5. Ok to all of the neg heads. I got his permission to try. Lets stop acting as if its weird to try and learn, and for the record is not that I couldn't do it, I just didn't recognize the way it was coded and used a different program.  Now here's a question for all of you, Does it hurt to pass constructive criticism, or does it just feel better to be a arse?

  6. Hello everyone, I wanted to know if there is anyone here who would be willing to assist me with ticket time. Fink has given me permission to code ticket time into a smaller resolutions. However I don't even know where to begin. If anyone is willing to help me, I would gladly appreciate it.

  7. Nope no experience at all. I am willing to learn however.

I want to create a callout where an officer gets a domestic violence call. He arrives at the location  and there's a red blip there you enter it and it takes you straight into the hall way of a apartment facility. After that we go up to the apartment make our way into it to either find two couples fighting, or just shouting slurs at each other. add captions for slurs. If they are not fighting, the officer takes the stories( let the caption show for each peds story,)  From there we can either take one to jail or both.  In another instance, we would arrive at the scene to find the domestic criminal gone, get the description for the victim and go search for him/her.

  8. Yea I've been talking with SteveTrackBoyz55 on youtube about this for a bit now.  I'll get around to it at some point.  Not sure when, but it is something I'm interested in doing.

    Wow I can't wait.

  9. That wouldn't be all that hard.  The worst part would be driving around collecting the static locations so I have enough to blanket the entire map >_<

But in terms of scripting something like that, it would be pretty straight forward because Backup has given me a wide exposure to all the tools (well, not all) but a good bit of the tools I have to accomplish my goal.

Not saying you'll see this in the near future.  I've got a list going honestly of what I want to create, and that list... its growing faster then these fingers can type. ;D

PS V1.18 JUST uploaded.  Have to update OP now.

    Awesome mate

  10. Might be easy'er said then done.  We all know how AI can be with driving...

Think EMS or Firetruck... I'm sure you've got some kind of memory where they completely destroyed your scene...

I'm not saying I ain't doing it.  As a mater of fact, I'm debating switching over and attempting this also so instead of a API Callout for Backup, I could make a entirely new script where the player can call for backup.

I've yet to start testing, but I've learned A LOT about GTA IV native calls and LCPDFR API stuff from this.

This coming weekend I might give coding for Backup a break, and switch over to seeing if I can get AI to smoothly drive up and park behind you - that being the only true barrier... because there are a lot of situations that could easily make them go crazy in terms of not being able to drive to a certain location.

I'll most likely keep polishing Backup for this week, see where I get it (for example, I want to add better animations for when the AI just writes a ticket).

Awesome. Also could you try to create a callout where you arrive for backup on a domestic dispute or a warrant bust. You get a call of a domestic dispute between a man and a woman, the man has a gun and backup is needed before you guys make the bust and arrest.
