  1. Hello Lcpdfr peeps :) so After hours of hard work I finally figured out how to Make Finkones police radio intractable with GTA IV I will upload a vid soon however here's a pic of the progress

     

    ALL CREDIT GOES TO FINKONE FOR RADIO

     

    The only things options that will be available in this radio are the backup and tow truck(currently working on that)

  2. awesome. OK. Here's what I noticed That when being fired at the backup will naturally defend you so there's no need to add that in. In my next release I'll add the caption's to officers.  In this release I added sound, random officers spawn when calling for backup. Some cars have two officers and other's have one. Police 1 may spawn or police 2 female ped may arrive or male ped.

    But after backup shows should have some options, because this backup most for traffic stop, if suspect is wanted or car is stolen. 

    So you do not have to make what options, you can simple make a default conversation shows by text under the screen, after that you can set a message popout, set a key, "when you ready, press xxx to let backup cover you" something like that.

    So the backup will get your cover if suspect try to do anything, by this way backup is very useful. Not just come and leave.

    This is just a advice, I will keep support your mod, I like this sound this time, :tongue:

    After I tested this new update yesterday, I find a big part, big problem need to work on:

    First, when load the game there will be a white number at the bottom of screen which is shows load mod, also, when backup arrive there also have a number shows how cop walking, so those numbers I believe is a part of quote that control this mod but you have to make sure player can't see it.

    Second, options are not working, it said press 1,2,3,or Y. But only Y is working which let backup leave, so what is the point to call backup if he can't do anything? Did you try backup callouts which is a plugin on lcpdfr? You should set something like this, 1.backup arrive, walk to your window. 2 .you leave you car, you will have a short conversation with backup, shows on screen with text:[You]:I stopped him for xxxx,I'm going to write him a ticket please cover my back." [Backup]:"xxxxxxx." Then set a message popout, when you ready press R let backup begin. So after press R or whatever the key is, backup should get closer to suspect car also aim to the suspect, take out the pistol or whatever weapon you like to set. After you done with the suspect, press key again do the radio animation again let backup know you are done and he can leave.

    Ignored the way that I said yesterday, this way is the most easy,clear and realistic way to update your beta.

    **Problems:

    For the radio ID check, I was have issue with that, when I stop a ped, aim to him press L, nothing happened. So then I order him to leave the ID check text popout, he suck on the road, then I press arrest him, after loading I suck behind him only way out is to kill him...

    So this ID check you have to work on a lot...

    You can create a plugin like police radio, press key take out radio shows on right bottom of screen and click check ped ID, radio screen shows information of this ped, then press F1 call in ID, player should do the animation,  F2 let suspect go. something like that. sample and easy.

    Just share my new idea after I text this mod.

    I will keep looking forward for this mod and keep giving advice and help out how to improve.

    Awesome I will include all of this in next update which should be sometime next week. Right now I have a hotfix for this beta that will remove the captions as well as I.D. check for now.

      I can give you some advice by my own way but you don't have to do what I say:

      When you enable the radio, should have a police radio shows at the right bottom of screen just like GTAV, not the little text on the bottom "radio disabled or enabled", also use num number key to choose traffic backup, set 5 to select, it won't mess up with sirens or anything. When doing the adio animation in the car, the realistic way is keep right arm on the steering wheel, left arm slowly touch the radio, then back to steering wheel slowly, just like V cop radio animation, not like the way that shows in video, when use radio, cop body like get an electric shock in the car, all the way sit straight up. 

    Then you can make a a text popout, something like: "All units, we have a officer need help with a traffic stop at xxx." with lcpdfr dispatch voice, when backup on the way, should have a text like "there is a unit on the way" or something like "we are in the area stand by". All these text and dispatch could be done by create a plugin insiede of lcpdfr plugin folder.

      When backup park their car, should not use "magic parking" which shows in video, first 2 sec still on road but last 2 sec just move the car behind player. Make the AI DRIVE behind you it can block road a little bit but won't crash to player's car.

    Also I would like you to crate two cops in backup, you can keep the part that when they arrive, walk to your window start talking, but you could change options to a more clear, bigger window, keys use F1,F2..., just like lcpdfr option window, and add more realistic reasons, something like, F9 run red light.. something that match with real NYC driving rules, when select one of them, should have a text at the bottom like "[OfficerXXX]: He was running a red light I will write a ticket for him please watch my back." [backup]: Roger that" just make a little conversation between backup and player. Then backup should aim to suspect stand near your car, and you can talk to driver.

    After all this are done, backup should walk in their car leave by themselves without crash anything. 

    I know this is sooo long but I am more pay attention to details, this just a advice reply me what you think.

    Lastly, this update really nice I can't stop saying that.

    Thank you for your input I will take all of this into consideration.  The animation I used are right out of GTA V. As far as the radio popping up I actually have that in my next update ;) stay tuned :)

    Also, ID check is unrealistic, does not match the real ID with each different person, all the same ID information. 

    The Keys can be changed also I you do not want mod to interfere with police helper then hit the shift button along with the X key. That will stop police helper from appearing. Next this mod is working on an update I have removed the I.D. check and added the ability to spawn backup I will send a vid when done

Because while I was trying out this mod, scrolling through all the animtions in the game, I noticed a there is a .wad file named "amb@security_idles_a" that has some walkie talkie animations within it that are slightly differen't than the ones found in the "cop_wander_radio.wad" Now I could be wrong, but I'm fairly certain those animations are the same ones used by the LCPDFR mod when checking peds I.D and at trafficstops. Also when I  had a quick look through LCPDFR's main files I couldn't see any hint of animations being imbeded within the coding. Maybe you could take a look at replacing those security_idles_a animations with this mod to see if it works? :smile:

    Ok so I replaced the animation still same result play the animation, Hey I am giving full permission to edit the animation if You want feel free

    Yes I thought about that as well. I may try them and test them once more. If so then I will update it.
