  1. Maybe have some people record new lines to replace the lines that are most commonly used by the officers. The things they say when you make a traffic stop, or call in information about a vehicle to dispatch for example, do not match up well. Or after you frisk a suspect and he says along the lines, "You're clean, beat it.", "No guns no drugs, move it along." and then you go to arrest him right after dismissing him isn't realistic.

I noticed the Speech folder in the LCPDFR audio folder but it doesn't have all the speech that is used. Does LCPDFR use certain speech? How can I tell which ones are used besides going through all the audio and trying to remember which ones are used?

  2. There's some really nice road textures out there, I'm using the one that comes with CryENB1.0. There's something that annoys me about it and it's that some one way roads have double solid yellow lines instead of the white broken lines like they should have. Does anyone know of a good road texture that has accurate markings?

  3. LCPDFR script crashed randomly and a message popped up on the top left with an annoying constant beeping.  I checked the LCPDFR log and it said to paste it here. I shortened it because the log kept repeating itself.

  4. Try disabling the ambient scenario events in the ini file, that may help with the crashing.  In my case PH has never caused crashing issues.

    DrDetroit

Yeah that's what I did after I installed it, most of the crashes were because of the SMPA60 error, the modified car one. No I don't have any modified cars in save spots. I just started a fresh save so I don't know what could be the problem.

Edit: The SMPA60 crash, I believe is actually from the VDH TowingService script, after I removed it, I haven't had that crash. I installed VDH PoliceHelper again and no SMPA60 crashes now. Really wish Abraxas was around to update his scripts because they are really useful.

  5. Use Police Helper to request an ambulance.  They always show up, will not run everything or anyone over, and will treat and remove the injured/dead ped every single time.  They then leave without breaking anything or killing anybody.

PH is the only ambulance service I ever use, as the others always drive crazy and end up killing more peds than they save.

    Good luck!

EDIT:  Also, PH has the ability to call the coroner, which I also use when the victim is deceased.  If the guy is moving I use PH to call the ambulance.  They both work flawlessly.

I tried the Police Helper but the game crashed a lot. After removing it, it hasn't crashed since. Did you notice any frequent crashes while using compared to without using it? The medic function works a lot better but because of the constant crashing I removed the script.

  6. Hey LukeD,

Just downloaded your script, Ineseri mentioned it in my thread. I'm having a problem with calling a medic. I've incapacitated a few peds, shooting them or by beating them up and when I call for a medic, he shows up but he gets out of the ambulance, says that there isn't an injured ped, get back in ambulance, then gets out and walks off.

I've tested this 5-6 times and it's happened every time. Is this feature only compatible for callouts?

  7. Calling for an ambulance in this game sucks a lot. I've called for an ambulance numerous times only to have the asshats flying right past me and driving around the block, or sometimes the driver will stop and let out the passenger medic and then take off. Sometimes the passenger medic will come to a downed victim, most of the time not! He just runs after the asshat driver or walks away! It's so annoying!  :wallbash:

Abraxas made an excellent METT script which I'm sure you're all aware of. They always show up, they always stop near the scene and get out and do their job. I checked out Abraxas' profile and he hasn't logged on since January. I think a medic script similiar to Abraxas' METT script would be fucking AWESOME. Maybe a skilled scripter can make this happen? Maybe edit Abraxas' METT script?

I know you can just replace the METT van with an ambulance but whenever there's a incapacitated victim and MET show up, the victim always dies. Please someone take this into consideration!

  8. Just a couple questions,

    1) What is the difference between the first and alternative download? They're different sizes but I didn't see any difference.

    2) When I go to select the directory to install, if I choose GTA IV or EFLC, instead of putting all the files the main game folder,it installs LCPDFR in a folder called "LCPD First Response" and in that folder is another folder called LCPDFR with all the files in it. Why doesn't it just install the files into the main game folder?

This is the path that I use to install on EFLC:

C:Program Files (x86)SteamSteamAppscommonGrand Theft Auto IV Episodes from Liberty CityEFLCLCPD First Response

Edit: I see that the last path is the LCPD First Response folder, that must be why it put's it in that folder but why is that default?

  9. The best thing to do would be to completely remove extra_9 and then reset everything on the whole car to world.

    This should fix the problem.

You might also want to consider copying either extra_5 or 6 (the small taxi signs) and use them as extra_9 because no doubt you've still got 'ext_taxi' in your vehicles line, this tells the game to use either extra_5 / 6 or 9 when spawning a taxi, so you'll have some taxis without an extra on the top.

Thank you for your help by the way. I give up
