    From the album: Exakt

Here is the Francis International Airport skin I use now with ALM V1.1, not my work.
  4. I am sure they worked on it, there was a full SW:TOR coverage and a Skyrim review (score: 94%).
  5. The Skyrim Nexus is the place to go, they even have a mod manager which really helps with the download and the installation of mods.
  6. Skyrim is definitely worth it, especially the PC version with all of the mods, that will keep coming for years, there is still new Fallout 3 mods coming out.
  7. Yeah, it was featured back in May 2010 issue IIRC.
  8. I don't believe that the lighting for the lightbars will change much, but I hope that it will require lighting (engine's lighting system) changes rather than model changes like the ELS cars, so there would be a lower poly-count.
  9. Maybe an album with a picture of each favorite or hometown Real-Life skin would suit everyone, at home, I have a currently wonky Wi-Fi setup (too many Wi-Fi routers in the apartment block) and causes some disruption of the signal. This would also prevent into running issues with some players having stock, ELS or other non-ELS car mods. Just set up a place, like Star Junction for example, for us to take a picture.
  10. Yes, you've read right, LCPD:FR was featured in the February 2012 issue of PC Gamer (US). I will not post any scans of the article until the next issue is released, don't want to rob their scoop. It is featured in the Downloads section, after the Re-Installs features. The only thing is that after reading the article, it almost seamed as if they haven't played 0.95RC1 yet, but still is a good advertisement for the mod.
  11. I use those from Fonias, sure the pinkish sidewalks may be a bit a la San Francisco/LA, but I prefer dark black asphalt... Around here, in Quebec (the whole province in fact), the asphalt is mostly in a dire condition, so it is nice to see new pavement in a game.
  12. I recognize the pattern on the PCT version, it is inspired by the Therese-de-Blainville police department, covering, Boisbriand, Rosemere and Ste-Therese.
  13. I do not believe that this is a real GTA V Beta video. They are multiple reasons as to why. There is a few debug strings in the upper left corner, usually, the debug is disabled for the QA team in Beta. Only ones with access to a debug build in Beta is a developer and trust me, they don't want to lose their job by leaking stuff. The mini-map doesn't look as good as GTA IV's, unless it is still a placeholder of some kind. The van is a Chevrolet and not the usual van they use, that would be a May require legal approval issue, since they never used any real-world vehicle, due to licensing costs. Also, it doesn't have the same rear end as the one we see in the trailer, where the guys are disembarking from to commit a heist (@0:46). In the debug text, we can clearly read Grand Theft Auto Five, which is weird, most of the time they won't use something as clear as that in any file during development. For example: The Rainbow Six games (1-3) were named after US Generals, such as Eisenhower and Patton. Look at the type of font on the road sign on the left and it is a standard MS font. The game was announced a little over a month IIRC, with no release date so far. I personally do not believe that it is in Beta stage right now, it may have been in Alpha when they announced it and probably is still, since games in open-world environment takes an extensive time to pass each steps (Pre-Alpha, Alpha, Beta and RC) by the QA, whether internal or external. The RC would most likely take about a month in such a game, so if they are aiming for a June or July release, they would still be in Alpha right now, if not a step prior. Let's say that they want to release it in mid-July, they would have to have a stable RC that would be submitted to Microsoft and Sony for approval at least a month prior to the release date. So that would place the submission to maximum mid-June. RC stage to last a month, starts around mid-May and let's say 2 months in Beta (which is very probable in an open-world game), now places us to the beginning of BETA in mid-March. Also, it is easy to do trailers for a developer, since they don't have to show everything but bits of the final product.
  14. Here it is : http://gtapolicemods.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=592
  15. From the album: Exakt

I have watched Robocop 1 & 2 yesterday and it brought back memories and a sudden urge to have a OCP police CVPI in-game.
  16. This varies from states to states, just like from provinces to provinces in Canada. Right now, it is not required by law to have an electronic device that records the time spent driving on-board lorries, but the driver is required to keep a log of his driving times and rest times. Again this varies from states to states as how many hours of rest is required, some states may say you need 10 hrs and can be split in two different periods in the 24hrs cycle and some may require that that 2 hours may be split in an 1 hr blocks (for food) but the rest of the required 10 hrs of rest (8 hrs remaining) is to be taken as on time-block, as it is in Quebec (A province of Canada). The driver must have at least a 14 days record of his activities and may not drive more than 12 days out of the 14 (driving his car is excluded from the equation in all of the above, since it is recreational, so to speak). Some states may relegate the duty to an independent agency (DoT) or be the jurisdiction of the police departments, mostly state depts. For example, in Quebec, it is the Dot itself that patrols and inspects the lorries and drivers' logs, whereas in Ontario, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) can do the same, along with the DoT. Hope this can help you out with simulating this in a North American fashion.
  17. Personally, using both has increased the number of ELS enabled vehicles I can use before I see buildings and textures that load in an incredibly long time and also the missing textures bug. Before, I could only use 2 ELS enabled cars maximum and even there, at some point the textures would take a long time to load or no be present at all. Right now I have all 4 police cars (since I use EFLC), the FBI and the NOoSE Stockade and no problem so far, along with higher poly version taxis than the vanilla ones.
  18. I use GIMP myself and there is some ways to do some very good texturing with it, just got to learn its quirks and the different terminology for some stuff or sometimes, it takes a few extra steps (like for normal mapping and specular mapping for example) to get it done properly.
  19. Actually, it works with TBoGT, just place it in the scripts folder for EFLC. Press Alt-D to bring it up.
  20. I know, just didn't change the dirt decal on that model, personally, I hate how fast the cars get dirty in GTA, that is why I change the decal to an all black square. BTW Molten, which QA your cousin is working at?
  21. Yes it was done on my own personal time, at my home, but still, they want to cover they bases on their IPs, which is entirely understandable and a couple of millions dollars may be in jeopardy if any thing leaks out about an IP prior to press releases and so on. I do textures for 2 reasons, for the fun of it and maybe get a texturing job later on. I just have to get my head around UV mapping (Unwrap) with 3DSMax, haven't fiddle with it enough. I know that there is a bunch of plugins that can do it for you, but I like to learn the hard way, so I can understand really how it works.
