  1. Disclaimer: I can't guarantee these will work universally across the board, but these are the plugins and callouts that I have working in my game personally. Remember to always make a backup. I am not liable for your broken game. Keep in mind to remain grateful as this is a modification we are playing free of charge. We are literally just over 12 hours into 0.4's release, so time is needed for authors to make the proper adjustments to their mods for implementation from 0.3. Also, please do not include any visual or audio modifications as these should be irrelevant to the version of LSPDFR being played. 0.4 Plugins Arrest Manager Better EMS Callout Manager Cop Holster EUP Menu (Emergency uniforms pack - Serve & Rescue) Interaction+ Keep The F****** Door Open LSPDFR Computer+ Police SmartRadio Real Police Tape Mod Speed Radar Lite Spike Strips V Spotlight StickyWheels Stop The Ped Traffic Policer Ultimate Backup 0.4 Callouts (install any audio folder manually into GTA V -> lspdfr -> audio -> scanner) Assorted Callouts CalloutsV (MVA callout seems to crash game once pressing "T") Code 3 Callouts Code Red Callouts 2.9.7 PeterUCallouts (some callouts work, some don't) UnitedCallouts Wilderness Callouts 0.4 Miscellaneous Emergency Lighting System NOT WORKING LPCallouts LSPDFR+

  2. Not to be rude, but that's why so many people struggle to install mods/plugins. It explicitly states in the Police SmartRadio download that a prerequisite is Traffic Policer. I'm glad you got it working though.

  3. You may need to increase the threshold for when Rage terminates loading plugins. To do this, open Rage's settings and you'll see the option to increase the seconds before it terminates. Change It to 40000 and it should work with no problem.

  4. Dear all, As many of you will have noticed, my activity in the LSPDFR scene has decreased significantly over the past few months. There are many reasons for this, the details of which I won't bore you with. It mostly comes down to being busy with other things in my life, as well as LSPDFR becoming less interesting for me having played it for so long and the introduction of frameworks allowing modded GTA5 multiplayer environments. How times have changed since when I joined the community in 2015, from me taking an interest in learning to code in C# to having multiple plugins released on the site. It's been one heck of a journey here. I recall well the first 'mod' I uploaded for the LSPDFR community, which was called 'More Jail Points' at the time. This was first published for RAGEPluginHook 0.20. This later evolved into 'More Jail Points & Prisoner Transporter' and is now known as the all-so-familiar Arrest Manager. When I was contacted by @dbock1989, who was so enthusiastic about my More Jail Points & Prisoner Transporter plugin at the time, I couldn't quite believe it. He had been so kind as to create a variety of images related to the plugin (see below)! It frankly couldn't have been a more exciting moment at the time and, alongside other overwhelmingly positive and welcoming feedback, served as a major motivation factor for me to continue learning to code and create plugins. Following this, I was looking to give more purpose to the LSPDFR traffic stop system. And so, Traffic Policer was born - a plugin originally intended to add a few ambient events related to traffic offences. This has now grown into one of my most feature-packed plugins to date. By this time, some YouTubers started using my plugins in their videos. Not only was this a great way for me to obtain feedback on my mods' user experience, I also watched @Zachary Houseknecht with great pleasure while my ANPR Hit AI lit many of his police vehicles on fire... An absolute howler: https://youtu.be/4D8HshZzWMQ?t=606 Some weeks on and Assorted Callouts was next in line. This was originally created out of a callout idea by @CaptainSugarFree and turned into what is now known as the Pacific Bank Heist. This took about 4 weeks of intensive development to fully complete (and am I shocked at the code quality looking back at it now... works though). As the first of its kind, the callout featured voice-overs and an intense, detailed SWAT based LSPDFR callout. I was incredibly proud for this to be featured on @Jeff Favignano's channel and I see now that the video in question has amassed over 1.9 million views... breathtaking. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIXKvUyzylA Moving on again. At this point, @FinKone had managed to get me into YouTube. After having released British Policing Script, longing for an LSPDFR experience closer to home for me, many longed a version of the plugin for international and American users to incorporate the traffic stop improvements and a court system. With that, I released LSPDFR+ by doing my first ever YouTube live stream, which was quite the experience. After this, I released Siren Mastery, PoliceSmartRadio and a variety of other tools and smaller plugins. Many hours of coding, effort, stress, giving support and obtaining feedback had been put in by this point. I was absolutely chuffed to then achieve one million downloads on my published files... This figure has since risen to over five million. Following some negative coverage of LSPDFR in some of the Australian media, I'm also very happy that Wired UK decided to publish an overwhelmingly positive article on the whole GTA5 police modding scene: https://www.wired.co.uk/article/gta-5-mods-lsdpfr-british-police?utm_content=buffer9ca53 After PoliceSmartRadio's release - with the infamous April FoolsRadio download giving four thousand people a perhaps frustratingly good laugh - I placed the whole modding scene lower in my priority list. As mentioned previously, this has since been pushed far further down. Some thoughts on the community's development over time I would describe the LSPDFR community as healthy. @Sam @LMS and all the other contributors have created something very special for all the right reasons and this is largely reflected in the attitudes of the staff & moderation team and community members. With publishing mods on a popular website like this, unfortunately, comes some drama and negativity - and while I have not always agreed with the way and speed the moderation team dealt with my reports relating to me and my work, they have done a good job overall. The few issues that I experienced were all resolved. From my experience in the plugin side of the modding scene, this continues to be the case now. One thing I noted during the months that passed is that both experienced but particularly newer modders are now frequently treated with disdain in the scene. The modding scene has grown massively since when I first started and unfortunately, in this area, it shows. Everyone starts somewhere and the fact someone is spending their free time creating something for all of you to download, for free, has become massively underappreciated and taken for granted. Sure, a new modders' release may be full of bugs and be nowhere near as feature-rich as more developed plugins, but this takes time to solve. Had I received the negative feedback I've seen on many a new modder's release page back in 2015, you can rest assured I wouldn't have continued my development here. When providing feedback, by all means, point out the issues, but do so in a friendly, constructive manner, not in an entitled, toxic one. Have a look at the first few comments on my Arrest Manager download page to see what that is like - this was a major factor for me to consider continuing development! It is essential for the development of the LSPDFR modding community that this attitude is changed back to what it was in the 'good old days'. With all that said, I also hope the release of LSPDFR 0.4 kicks a breath of fresh air into the now somewhat stale core LSPDFR modification. With over 2 years having passed since the latest update of the core modification, I'm sure we all agree that an update would be a very welcome step. From the various preview posts released by the development team, it looks that we all have something great to look forward to there. 'Retirement'? So does that mean you're permanently done with the LSPDFR modding scene? No, but I won't be actively developing plugins for LSPDFR any more. To be fair, nothing's really changing much now compared to the past few months. I intend to remain as a member of the LSPDFR Testing Team and I'm sure I'll be drawn back in at some point to explore some of the new development options in the 0.4 API. I'll also stay around on my discord and occasionally the forums and I intend to continue publishing occasional videos on my Youtube channel. If my time and motivation levels allow, I may publish some minor updates to my current mods before 0.4 is released. The fact remains, however, that I would currently classify myself as 'inactive' in the scene. With so much other stuff going on, I simply don't have the time to commit that I used to. It would be a pity to say the least to let all my work slowly deteriorate and waste away. Therefore, I've decided to publish the source code to some of my plugins to https://github.com/Albo1125/. At the very least, I would like it to be a learning resource for other ambitious plugin developers in the scene. At best, I hope other developers will take it upon themselves to improve the code where necessary (yes it is very necessary!) and create pull requests to share those improvements. These can then be merged and released, with credits obviously included for contributors. Back when I started developing for LSPDFR, very few learning resources were available bar the great example project by @LukeD . This hasn't really changed since, despite the creation of the LSPDFR API repository by LMS (https://github.com/LMSDev/LSPDFR-API) and some posts aiming to document the LSPDFR functions by myself in the API development subforum. A noteable step was the creation of the LSPDFR Developers Discord server thanks to @Stealth22 A full post with current development resources can be found here: I'm planning to publish the source code to a number of my plugins one-by-one to improve this and give something to the community: Arrest Manager: https://github.com/Albo1125/Arrest-Manager Assorted Callouts: https://github.com/Albo1125/Assorted-Callouts Albo1125.Common: https://github.com/Albo1125/Albo1125-Common Traffic Policer: https://github.com/Albo1125/Traffic-Policer LSPDFR+: https://github.com/Albo1125/LSPDFRPlus British Policing Script: https://github.com/Albo1125/British-Policing-Script By no means do I claim that any of the code I post is perfect or amazing - on the contrary, far from it. With the experience I have now gained, reading through some of my old code makes me want to tear my hair out. This is only to be expected, though - most of my plugins were created as part of my learning experience of C#. Prior to this, I had no coding experience or knowledge. It's fascinating to see how the quality of my code has evolved over time by looking at my various different plugins in order of initial release date. Wrapping up. I hope this post provides some clarification and closure for those of you wondering where on earth I've been over the past few months. It's been an absolute blast and a pleasure. To all of you who were a part of my journey here, thank you.

While LSPDFR is active my framerate takes a very hefty beating. I normally run stock GTA V at around 90 - 100 fps, however, while on duty/pursuit I average around 30 - 45 fps most of the time. For reference, my specs are a 4770k @ 4.1GHz, 16gb of ram and a GTX 1080. I also have a fresh install with no other mods installed and have tried: running rage plugin hook as admin, running fullscreen and windowed, lowering and increasing graphics settings and disabling as many background processes as possible.

  7. Well, what can I say, I think it's safe to say Sam, LMS and the rest of the development team have outdone themselves with 0.4. It truly is a breath of fresh air playing it again after taking a long break from it. Here's my thoughts on why I think 0.4 has improved since 0.3.1: Pros * Amazing pursuit AI for both criminal and police: having played a few chases, the suspect definitely takes completely different paths each time (ending up in the desert, countryside and alleys rather than staying on roads) makes for an interesting and intense experience. I've also tested being the 1st, 2nd or 3rd unit in the pursuit and other AI units have not rammed me one bit (they seem to keep their distance) which also makes pursuits more enjoyable. For me to keep up with the pursuit, I have to use a vehicle engine boost from TrainerV as the only time the AI may ram you is if you're falling behind and the AI cops are trying to keep up with the criminal. An option to disable the speed boost the AI receives would be a plus as it could make pursuits more realistic. I've seen AI units also attempt to pit however I've seen them make a few timing mistakes by crashing into the median. They even block suspects from escaping if they're boxed in between units which is much improved compared to 0.3 as they would often let them flee again. The behavior and tactics options are a much needed feature as they are useful for different situations whether you're in urban/busy streets or quiet roads. * The immersion factor is incredible, from the flashlight to the police radio and idle animations really do add to detail. Adding CopHolster on top of that is icing on the cake. It's quite clear that the theme of 0.4 is character and the level of customization plus EUP adds more to the immersion. No longer do cops look like clones. * Improved Performance: This could be both a pro and a con but having been in a few pursuits, my FPS has been a steady 60 however it does tend to drop/stutter a bit if I'm in the city compared to the county. I do think the performance has had an upgrade since the previous version although other people may have different experiences, this was played using vanilla models/very few plugins. I have yet to test this with additional LSPDFR add-ons. * Searching: I like the fact that you are given your own cone of vision on the radar if you lose visual and have to search the last seen area for the suspect to re-trigger the pursuit before the entire radar flashes blue and red. A nice little detail for me, personally. * Customization: I really like the fact that I can create my own agencies and give them outfits, vehicles and their own jurisdictions. I have yet to figure out how individual zones work and how to assign an agency to patrol those zones rather than an entire city/county. Seeing Cops actually patrol in their vehicles makes the world feel more real compared to vanilla GTA V. Cons/Bugs * A way to disable the camera locating the suspect for you once you've regained visual could be a nice feature in a config file, I think part of the fun in actually looking for the suspect is taken away from this although a minor inconvenience nonetheless. * A setting to disable the speed boost the AI receives in pursuits so you can keep up without using 3rd party trainers/modifications to your vehicle * I may have repeated this in another thread but thought I'd throw it in here as well, if you play an action from the interaction menu and cancel it, this tends to crash LSPDFR so the only way to reload it is through the console via unload/reloading plugin. I'll keep testing this though to make sure. I've probably missed a few but these were the things that stood out to me most. Thank you for the hard work and effort in providing 0.4 for us all to enjoy.

  8. That's very true, hopefully it comes pretty soon depending on which modder decided to fix it!

  19. Traffic Police and Smart Radio should be working fine, Albo was streaming yesterday while using it and it was working completely fine, With that being said he mentioned that with LSPDFR+ will take him some time due to the the way 0.4 has done the new system so id say a few days and should be fine

  26. After installing Smart Radio I too am getting crashes. Seems random too, everything was working fine but it crashed once when requesting a tow truck, once when pulling up computer + and once when on a callout when previously I hadn't had any crashes. I ran traffic policer earlier today before getting Smart Radio so i feel like thats the issue. Could also be stop the ped for my problems I suppose but stop the ped was working fine before. Not sure if its the Smart Radio plugin itself or just integration issues with other plugins

    ELS LSPDFR 0.4

The TrafCTRL for ELS has always been there since ELS's release. I even included the fix for it in my FAQs. Terabite didn't expand on what was happening, so that's why I asked before assuming.

    ELS LSPDFR 0.4

Hi there! I had the same issue, maybe the same solution helps for you to! Head to your ELS configuration file and look where [ General ] is There should be "ElsTrafCtrlOn = true" Set that to false and hopefully it works again! The latest ELS got it's own Traffic Control data, at least that's what I've been told. For me deactivating that option made LSPDFR pull overs work again

  29. It should! Try to rename the Files in the custom folder. Like "Agency_addon.xml" and "duty_selection_addon.xml" I had them differently named from the beginning so I don't know if that might be the error.

    LSPDFR 0.4 API Update

Just taking an initial look here, more to come I'm sure. Thanks to the team for all your hard work getting this update out! I'm unable to perform traffic stops on boats, whatsoever. Used to be possible in 0.3.1 without having to do anything special, just boat up behind them and hold Shift. Unable to put an arrested ped in any car that has "unusual" doors - whether that's no doors, doors on the back like a van, etc. Ability to disable AI on a specific ped in a pursuit is awesome, thanks for adding that! Looking forward to checking it out. Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see any way in the API to tell whether an arrested ped is grabbed by the player. This would be helpful, as many mods have their own grab systems, and it would be useful to be able to tell when the ped is already grabbed natively through LSPDFR to avoid conflicts. The "M" menu has some concept of where hospitals and fire stations are, but I don't see them defined in stations.xml or accessible in the API. If those could be exposed as user-configurable and accessible in the API, I would use them in Better EMS, allowing closer integration with LSPDFR versus redefining everything in my own config files. Would be nice if RequestBackup let you specify a ScriptName and/or Agency from the backup configs, with perhaps also some functions to read in what all the available agencies and flags are. Ability to spawn a vehicle + peds yourself, then set it as backup. I.e. it would behave the same as if you had called RequestBackup, but instead you pass in a Vehicle and it becomes a backup unit. Same for Suspect Transport. Looking forward to future updates! EDIT: A few more things I've noticed If you have a waypoint set on the map, Code 3 backup responds there. Which is a useful feature to have, but is also really confusing as it's undocumented. Perhaps the backup menu could have a selector for "respond to self" or "respond to waypoint". You can get a call that's far away (like the built in market robbery call for example), respond at reckless speed to get there, and pass 5 ambient patrolling units on your way that are just driving along without a care in the world. Would be nice if there was some API method to request ambient units to respond to a location, with perhaps an optional parameter for max number of ambient units to respond. That way if you initiated a robbery call for example, you could configure ambient units to join the call, so if you approach an ambient unit on your way they'd also go Code 3 and respond to the same location. Likewise, I've called for Code 3 backup when an ambient unit was driving right by, and rather than respond they just kept driving, and a new backup unit responded elsewhere. Would be nice if ambient units would respond Code 3 when calling backup if they meet the criteria for the backup requested. Please add methods to the API for whether Pursuit Cop AI mode - Behavior, Tactics, and Lethal Force settings.

  45. Due to a lack of time and inclination on my part, I have decided to make all of my LSPDFR projects open source under the GPL, effective immediately. Most of them probably don't work that well anymore, and I simply don't have the time to develop or maintain them any longer. This will also serve as my defacto "retirement" from LSPDFR development. I may decide to pick things up again in the future, who knows. But for now, this is my way of giving back to the community, and possibly inspiring or helping other people who are trying to learn software development. The code is old, and was written when I was still new to LSPDFR/GTA programming. It could probably use some refactoring, but again, I have no time to do any of that. Feel free to submit a pull request with any suggested improvements, and I will look at the PR's as time allows. If there is enough activity on trying to move the project forward, I can explore doing releases in the future, and crediting any contributors. Feel free to use this repo as a resource to learn from and improve your programming skills. This goes without saying, but this code is provided with no warranty, and I accept no liability for anything. Lastly, I would just like to say...there are a lot of people to thank for my time in the LSPDFR community, and I apologize if I miss any names, but you all know who you are. - @Sam @LMS @Cyan @MulleDK19 You guys laid the foundation for all GTA and RPH development, and for that, the community owes you a debt of gratitude! - @Jeff Favignano @FinKone You two are the ones who got me interested in GTA development to begin with! (Yes Jeff, I blame you for the countless hours I've spent debugging my code! ) - @Jeff Favignano @Polecat324 @Bayareabuggs @Zachary Houseknecht Thanks for all the inspiration, and for all the times you guys graciously tested my plugins for me! - @Albo1125 What can I say about Albo? NOTHING! Just kidding, Albo...you came to me when you first started learning the ropes, and you grew into a fantastic dev (*sniff* They grow up so fast...) - @PNWParksFan You know why...keeps giving me work to do on my code... *grumble* #InsideJoke - @LukeD @alexguirre @Fiskey111 @PNWParksFan For the countless times you bailed me out of difficult coding situations (and Luke, for showing me that C# is better than VB!) - @khorio All of the explosions and other shenanigans you pulled for our countless entertainment - @PeterU For all the work you did in trying to help me maintain my plugins! - @ToastinYou Eh, you didn't do anything. I just wanted to find a reason to give you a shout-out. *snicker* Thanks all, and enjoy the code!
