Howdy, I suppose this will be a kind of a dev diary for 3.1. As NefariousBonne has said some time ago, 3.1 will mainly be a content update, introducing new car and ped models, as well as improving existing ones. Thanks to YMT edits, peds will not only be much more varied and detailed, but also better optimized and "neat" from technical perspective. Many ped models have gotten new components, such as improved bulletproof vests, belts, and so on. Many vehicles have received improved interiors and lighting, and some other tweaks. But you all know that already. I would like to tell you about one new script feature we have been working on for some time now. We call it the IncidentManager. This is a new system that allows cops to call backup during shootouts with NPCs. The backup units that spawn are the same that would spawn if a player was wanted, and zone-dependent as well. Furthermore, the response type and amount will be based on the severity of the incident. Not only that, but a rudimentary chase system has been implemented, which will allow cops to dynamically chase fleeing NPCs. IncidentManager allows for very dynamic and lively shootouts, and is for all intents and purposes a Wanted Level system for NPCs. It can be turned on and off in the ini. A small new feature is that SSR (as a whole) can be turned on and off in game by pressing a specified (configurable) key combination. With SSR disabled, you can play LSPDFR and most story missions without any compatibility problems (note: this does not fix missions that crash). Furthermore, some advanced optimizations have been performed on the script. We hope that this will alleviate some of the performance complaints we have gotten for 3.0. 3.1 has been delayed a lot, but we want to present you with finished, polished product. We continue to add new features and content daily, while testing for bugs and performance. We hope that we will be able to present RDE 3.1 to you soon.5 points

Can we get some damn backup?
Deactivated Memberand 3 others reacted to CheddaJohn for a topicCome on man you got me going to an armed robbery call, but expect me to be the only officer to show up? Officers should be dispatched automatically for calls like that. User discretion can be allowed for other calls but NO cop is gonna solo a robbery call. Come on. Takes the immersion out when I show up, have to spam code 3 backup, and they all show up not knowing wtf is going on. Dispatch them and have them know what to do (like when they go after guys in pursuit mode). Any modder able to do this? Very annoying otherwise. Earlier I responded to an officer shot and was the only guy to respond lol. get real.4 points -

using force for police officers in UAE (United Arab Emerites ) allowe to use force
Kifflommer reacted to mojahed for a topic
in my country using of non lethal force or lethal force in general depend in the situation of the suspect if he or she depend on the action example A : if the suspect have a firearm but he is in steady position or he or she didn't aim the gun at a cevilien or officer / the officer should follow this steps according to our Federal law : to announce to the suspect that you are the police. tell the suspect to drop the weapon verbally and to surrender. you ask him for the second time verbally. in the third time you Waring him that you will use force. you shoot in the air then ask him again. if he or she refuse to follow officer order he shoot in not deadly place in the body. if he or she still have the weapon and refuse the officer warring him or her then shoot . lastly he have the right to kill him. if the suspect make threat by aiming his firearm to a hostage or officer they can shoot him to prevent that threat.1 point -
Pretty much every call should have at least 2 officers show up, purely for officer safety. What would be incredible to see is calls that are actually fluent with variable possibilities before we get there. I personally hate the callout strategy of the call being completely static until an officer gets there. Take the armed robbery call from your post for example. In my ideal version of the mod, the following could happen: A similar flowchart for all calls would be incredible.1 point

Trainer? What is it and why is it needed?
Deactivated Memberreacted to Break for a topicA trainer allows you to quickly access features of the game, that would otherwise be time-intensive or straight up impossble, such as: - Changing your player character - Changing your clothes on the fly - Spawning a car, changing its livery, paint, wheels and components on the fly - Giving yourself (and also removing) weapons - Teleporting etc. It's basically a tool to "cheat" in single player. For basic trainer functionality you can use RagePluginHook (type "help" in the console to see some commands). If you want something more extensive and quicker to use, I can recommend the Simple Trainer by sjaak327.1 point -

Guess what, this video is filled with wrong information. And I should know: my own father is in the police, motorized brigade of the national police. Dude, I'll repeat myself, but you're basing your judgement on wrong information and biased internet videos. It's really easy to manipulate the image to make it convey a message, positive or negative, and you're falling right into that. Most videos you posted so far couldn't be farthest from reality. Do you know why they didn't arrest them and simply monitored? Because you can't prosecute someone based on how much you THINK they'll commit a crime. You can't charge people with thought crime, that's all. It's nothing related to not offending people or anything like that, that's just how the legal system is. You can charge people only if you have concrete proof they were either preparing a crime, or when the crime is committed. So again, you base your judgement on wrong or misinterprated information coming from hate-mongering videos and comment sections. Not the most objective part of the internet.1 point

[WIP] iCallouts - Realistic Callout System
Reddington reacted to
Deactivated Memberfor a topicI don't understand. You're trying to make a callout pack that captures "real call's that Officers have to deal with every day" but then you go on to list calls that would almost never happen i.e. "Stolen FIB Vehicle" or "Stolen Fire Truck". Furthermore, the "Corrupt Cop" callout shouldn't even be a call. Why would that be put out over the radio? Internal Affairs would handle that. Next the "Medic Robbery" doesn't make much sense because you put "Medical Marijuana". Ambulances do not carry medical marijuana. And most people that try to score drugs off medics submit false reports and complain of pain instead of physically robbing the EMT's. Now, you list Shots fired and Shootout as two different calls. What's the difference? Same with Officer In Trouble and Officer Needs Assistance. Just put the two under the same name. The Stolen Plane seems odd too but you listed that as Rare and Optional so that's fine. Other than these few issues I really like all the other call ideas, these certain ones need to be more thought through and you need to ask yourself how often is an FBI vehicle or a Fire Truck really stolen? And are medics being robbed at gunpoint that prevalent of an issue?1 point -
Game Crashes

I looked up the verify method you stated and found the original post you copied from for the example, I read the thread and it turns out that method no longer works, however if you do that method to "PlayGTA.exe -verify" it does work. Im gonna let it verify now and ill come back with the results. Thanks again, you have been very helpful. ~Salty1 point -

[REL] Coastal Callouts Discussion Thread
TrooperHenschel reacted to PNWParksFan for a topic
Time for a quick update on Coastal Callouts progress! Development of the new configuration system is almost finished for the boats side of things. Still need to do it all for helicopters, but hopefully that'll be a bit less complex. At any rate, making progress! Boats will now be dispatched dynamically depending on the location, weather, how far off shore it is, and what tasks the boat needs to be capable of. If you're near Vespucci Beach and need a rescue craft, you may get a lifeguard jetski. If you're near the terminal and need law enforcement, you may get port police. A sheriff boat will respond if you're on the Alamo Sea. Deep in the ocean you'll only get the larger coast guard boats (and cutters once they're ready), but near shore you may get the smaller ones. All of this will be fully configurable through XML files, so the user will be able to choose which units spawn where. The peds which spawn are dynamic depending on the task as well. In heavy weather, they'll wear full-body immersion suits. Responding to a pursuit they'll wear vests. You can configure the clothing options used for any scenario. Currently this new configuration system has been implemented for boats disapatched for backup, towing, SAR search, and callouts. In parallel I've been working on some new boats so we'll actually have enough variety to make these configuration options useful. We now have the Los Santos Sheriff Department response boat, as well as some new dinghy variants for the Los Santos Port Police, USCG, and Los Santos County Sheriff. I'll be doing some more work on the dinghy variants soon. We have also acquired a model for the 87' Patrol Boat, although SkylineGTRFreak hasn't had time to start converting the model yet.1 point -

Hi there, I had the same issue too, easy way to fix. Open the trainer and go to Bodyguards -> Bodyguard tasks -> enable "change for all" -> set task to "look at player" or "combat", they should now stay in the vehicle. This worked for me so hopefully will work for you; let me know!1 point
