Did you ever finish this?  We need a realistic CHP.  The current pack that is out is not realistic at all with the lights.

For V, or IV?

How is it not realistic?

This is a picture of GTA IV.

There's a CHP pack for GTA IV?

Yes, it's clearly a picture of IV but look at the comments on his profile lol, seems like he's talking about a different pack.

This is a comment on a GTA IV image, though.

Hmm I don't know what you mean. This was made for GTA IV. If you need it for GTA IV, it has been released here:

As far as GTA V is concerned, I haven't made any cars for that, nor do I know how to.

Oh shoot, yeah I meant GTA V.  We are in some real need for a realistic CHP.  There are a few packs that look the part, but don't even come close on ELS lighting.  So I was hoping this was either in the works or you had it for GTA V.  Didn't see the post date.  Sorry man.  You at all interested in doing a CHP with me?  Not a pack, but maybe just a CV and or Utility?

Oh, it doesn't even come close.  The stage 3 is good, but stage two front lights are way off and there is no accurate stage 1.  I showed him hard factual proof and video evidence and he told me to take a hike and he's happy with it and not going to change it.  For us California guys who even worked with the CHP and have family in the CHP it would be cool to have a realistic lighting model which is very doable and I could have helped him.  He just got lazy and used the built in CHP ELS setting and built his light model based on that which is way off and wrong and didn't do any research on how the real car should be.  So in other words, his is like a movie car where it looks good from far and just as a prop, but the ones who know the real CHP cars, know it misses the mark and way off.

For example, for all of us who don't live in Texas would think a modder did a great job on a Texas state trooper car and figure the modder knows best right?  Well this is our case for the CHP pack and the modder doesn't know best in this case and could care less about making it accurate, but puts in the title that he has done everything he can to make it the most accurate and doesn't want or need any help.  Fake movie car.  I understand how that's okay for the 49 other states who have no clue what the CHP looks like.  But for us Cali residents who know the CHP and work with them, Bogus!

I will be working on my own at some point.  Moving on.

Sorry Sgt.Kanyo for taking up your thread on your picture that I thought was for GTA V and I still wish it were.

To everyone in here, Sgt. Kanyo is a great example of a modder who truly cares about the authenticity by doing the research and gets it right.  If I am not mistaken, didn't we even work together on making the very first steady burn LAPD car before stready burns were really possible?  That's the type of persistence us modders used to have, but now it just seems modders are tossing out new cars just for highest download scores which seems to be the emphasis these days as i was told over and over by TheHurks during our many conversations.  They just don't seem to try that hard anymore for authenticity or care enough to do it right.  So, if you want it done right, I have learned just do it yourself.

Sgt. Kanyo, you ever thought about converting this one to GTA V?  I know you don't mod much anymore and are super busy, but just throwing that out there.  We are in need of authenticity once again!

Although you state his response, showing like he couldn't care less, he did still put a great effort into the car(s) and shouldn't be bashed for his work having a few flaws. Assuming your conversation happened the exact way you state, he could've definitely responded in a more professional manner, I would've myself. Although to say he didn't research anything properly before going all out on an entire car pack and couldn't care less about accuracy is just entirely false and insulting. Then to preach Kanyo out in nothing else but to shame Thehurk's work and morals. There are plenty of things Hurk could work on in terms of vehicle modding, he's no expert R* studio member. Yet neither is Kanyo, he's got his flaws in his work, too. I know of lots of things I need to work on and learn myself. A lot of mistakes and flaws I've made/make, too. I can definitely agree that the majority of this community's modders are no 3D savants. I could go as far to say plenty of negative about plenty of people around here. Albeit there's no call for such slander, being plenty of people in the community do that already to each other. This community has the worst member-base I've ever mingled with, yet also a lot of people that I'm delighted to have met and befriended for hopefully a very long time. Although I can also agree entirely on, "They just don't seem to try that hard anymore for authenticity or care enough to do it right.  So, if you want it done right, I have learned just do it yourself." 'They' being for the most part the worst of what I've seen. Yet I wouldn't apply theHurk to a category. If my word means anything around here, he's shown plenty of hard work and passion into his showcasing. I've also noticed his outside life has taken a toll on him, leaving him with very little time to be around here. Also, stating ELS has flaws in itself that would make parts of your request for accuracy virtually impossible at the moment. A lot of core and side functions not functioning properly or at all, one of them being stage 2 lighting. If you're dissatisfied with what's to offer here, there's no call for banter. If you don't mean to convey it as such, I apologize, but no need to call people out like this. Criticism is a great thing, just better to show it in a more professional format.

Couldn't have worded any of it better myself. The limitations from ELS are quite more invasive to realism in setups than people realize. To say Hurk didn't put research into his pack is absurd because I sat there and researched shit with him for hours a day trying to get the setups right, and he did, he absolutely did, majority of the shit in those cars I watched him scratch make himself, that is effort and outstanding work. I am very good friends with Hurk outside of this community and I can tell everyone here what Lund said about him being busy outside of this community is exactly right, I've seen him work more than 70 hours in a week with his job, I can tell you that the most incorrect word that can be used to describe him is Lazy, he's busy. We all have a personal life outside of this community, there's more to life than accurate lighting patterns..

This community is the epitome of toxic at times and this is one of the incredibly disgusting examples of such. I'm finished on this topic.

Like i said before go make your own CHP pack for V dude because at this point you are just going around starting shit with people and disrespecting @Thehurk's work on other people images. Which should be a violation of some rule somewhere on this site but back to the nature at hand, take your concerns up with Lt Caine about your opinion on how ELS has its limitations. If not then stop the shit and grow up you are not god and you do not have the answers to everything.

Friendly reminder that everyone is free to their personal opinion.  You don't have to like it or agree, but there is no need to attack them over it..  Lets keep it civilized, please.

Opinions are fine, I agree. But coming to the point of calling authors lazy needs to be addressed.

Again, that is personal opinion.  There aren't rules against calling a mod author lazy, and there never will be.  It may be disrespectful, but if it's not said in a rude way or is a personal attack, you can call someone lazy and say their pack sucks.
