I dunno. Would better suit a Fire Dept. Livery, in my opinion.

I can see the LCPD/NYPD influence for sure, though.

I tend to agree.  As much as I love red, I think it's just all around confusing and looks out of place on a police car.  That said, I do like the color mixtures.  Red and gold look really nice together.

Blue on white might be a good one to go for.

Let's see  a Blue & White Livery.

Maybe try to replicate the Sheriff's Department from First Blood (1982), as a fun side Project. Their Cruisers had a Blue & White Scheme.
