Help: Trying to detect all police within a certain radius

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to detect police officers near the player and assign them each a variable (Ped officer1, Ped  officer2, etc.)

Not sure how to do this and after searching through the Rage Documentation I still can't find anything about detection.

Everything helps 🙂

Every police officer is also a ped, so you could first get all peds using World.GetAllPeds. Now that you got the peds, you can work out which one is a cop.

Please do not PM me unless really necessary (knowing you helps). If you think you need my attention in a topic, tag me.

@LMS Thanks! I've decided to try out the following code but I'm a bit new to C# and arrays confused me XD.

What I can't figure out is why I can't get the Entity.Model property from my variable in order to check whether or not it is a police car.

Many thanks 🙂

The Any function returns true if any of the elements in the sequence match a certain criteria: peds.Any(entity => entity.Model == "POLICE");

You are probably looking for the Where function that gives you all elements that match a certain criteria instead. I would recommend looking at examples on how to use these functions for C#.
