Problem with siren settings [carcols.meta]

Recommended Posts

I created my dlc.rpf, inside dlc.rpf/levels/gta5/vehicles/vehicles.rpf i have my .ytd & .ytf files.

When i test the models ingame they work correctly, but when I add a custom carcols.meta inside dlc.rpf/common/data the sirens are not working, I tried using a siren value from game and a siren value that doesn't exists. Both doesn't work.

carcols should be in update.rpf, not the dlc.rpf

You added the required lines to content.xml for the meta file?

You mean this?

    <Item>
      <filename>dlc_lsfd400:/common/data/carcols.meta</filename>
      <fileType>CARCOLS_FILE</fileType>
      <overlay value="false" />
      <disabled value="true" />
      <persistent value="false" />
    </Item>

So why all tutorials say to add carcols.meta in dlc.rpf?

I dont know which tutorials you are referring to, this is what I learned. I'd suggest trying it in the update.rpf and see if that works. Also carcols.meta or carcols.ymt?
