"Could not hook game process. Insufficient permissions or bad anti-virus."

Hello guys,

im sorry for my bad english i just want that everyone is able to read that:

 

English:

Im always getting this error message if i launch the rage plugin hook thing:

Could not hook game process. Insufficient permissions or bad anti-virus.

I already tried renaming the Gta folder and launched rage plugin with out any anti virus.

Please help

 

German:

please try to rename the folder to Grand Theft Auto V 

without the [LSPDFR] dont know if that works tho but when ever i change my folder name to somting else it will not work

could be problematic since i just renamed this folder into this and had to download it again (bc Steam is dumb)

Well, but he is right. This is a common issue if you rename the folder to something other than Grand Theft Auto V.

Just don´t forget to rename original folder to something like Grand Theft Auto V vanilla or whatever you would.

Also let Steam run in offline mode. Maybe that helps.

Glad to hear. For the future, a little research by your own would be nice.

Also it saves your time because you don´t need to wait that somebody answered. As example: Searching RagePluginHook Bad Antivirus via Google:  The first 5 results would tell you exact the same. And just takes 2 minutes
