EUP Pants Texture Issue

Recommended Posts

So I've been having an issue with pants in EUP. Whenever I make custom pants I load them in game and they show up a slightly different color and with a weird checkerboard texture. Seems like it happens no matter which pants I try to replace.

Hoping someone knows what's causing it.

Here's are some pics of what I mean. You may have to click them to make them full size to see it better.

I see the pics but don't see the issue. Is the skin showing thru? Mine did this n I figured it out it specific to certain bodies. Also if u hit the number keys, 4 & 6 on number pad it switches different textures for the clothes. I believe the checkered board is a place holder for future colors or such. I've found it in the newest update as well

No dont have an issue with the model clipping and Im not talking about the black and whute checkerboard on blank textures. If you look closely at my pics the pants are a diff color in game the black has a greenish tint to it and if you look close theres a weird pattern on them too. Doesn't matter which pants I use or what color I change them too they always show up a different shade then the shirt.

Sorry, i was looking at the pics on my phone. Now that i am on my desktop i can clearly see the greenish tint on the pants. hmm weird. These are custom pieces not included in EUP, am i correct? Do u want to share them and i will load them on my end and see if same green tint shows. Easiest way to eliminate visual problems?

Hey, usually this is caused because when in open IV you have converted the DDS file into a PNG to edit it. Try export the texture as a DDS then upload the finished EUP texture as a DDS in photoshop as well

Did you ever figure out what was the reason? Because my uniforms are doing the same thing

To anyone who comes in this thread with the same question. If you change the pixel format to DX1 it will fix this.

How do you do that?
